Thanks man, every time I go looking for a new car, I get back in the Z, and still love the car. I do like the look of the new model, and will probably end up in one of them. Although, the G looks pretty hot as well and more room would be nice.

Peace

Question what oil brand and weight are the 100k miles guys using?

My 2003 has a 104K on the clock and running strong. I am curious what oil you guys are running?

I was using regular oil till about 100K than switched to a high mileage oil, always changed at 3000 miles.

I just turned 100,000 and I've always run Amsoil. I had her on the dyno for the first time at 97k miles and she pulled rediculously strong. It's all about keeping up with the maintenance.

Default 100 +

I'm at 167291 (100,000 in the last two years) and the only mechanical problem has been the ball that the clutch fork rest on broke. It took two days but I replaced it without pulling the tranny. Service soon light came on for the first time yesterday.

Yup had it since early 2003. It's gotten me through NY winters with out any issues, swapping out the tires of course.

I'm getting the itch for new one.

Wow, that's so cool! Ultimate lurker.

Will you act on the itch though, or do you still love your Z33?

just hit 99k miles today. Changed engine oil today and about 10k miles ago, I put redline tranny fluid. It runs strong and only complain I have is little noise from interior but I dont mind it much. I will probably have to get get brake rotors, pads and lines soon.

At 109k, I'm afraid I'm going to have to say goodbye to the 100k mile club.

Had my buddy do my last oil change, and unfortunately it looks like either the bolt was stripped or something like that, because at a drifting event last night it ran out of oil and.. well, you can probably see where this is going.

That being said, don't be stupid like me and get that VQ into the 200k's!

All of that being said though, R.I.P. my VQ... hello to my new V8.

97k of beaten to hell driving on mine. Burns a considerable amount of oil, but still makes power.

I've got a 2003 track at 175,000. Only problems I've ever had with it were had to replace both auto window motors. (obviously have tire growl problems too, but you old schoolers already knew that.)

The Z has ran impeccably, although lately I must admit, around 170 I started getting just a hint of valve tapping, like the sound you get with real cheap gas. (note: only 93 octane since day one, obviously)

FYI, still on original clutch, timing chain, and original tranny. Even over the last 7 years, I can count the times I speed shifted her on 2 hands (and 2 feet).

I really baby the old girl these days, and pretty much just daily commute her. For fun, I drive her big sister, an 09 gtr.

All said and done though, the Z is still my first love.

FYI high-mileage full synth. Been running full synth since about 60k.

edit: anyone with more than me? I read through some of the pages, but not all. I should hit 200k by 2011, February-ish. When I do, I've got to decide if I wanna see just how far the stock internals will get me, or whether I'm gonna buy her a new engine than and there.

121K on my Touring and still running strong. Bought it from a buddy at 27K & I'm proud to say 2 more payments and she's all mine. Burns a quart of oil a week though. Thought switching to synthetic at 100K would help, but it seems to get worse. Car still has original clutch, timing belt, and tranny and just changed spark plugs 3,000 miles ago when I noticed the driver side cylinder closest to firewall had oil all over the plug. Can anybody recommend which type of new seals I should replace old 1s with?
