I work in an office with about 10 other people. I know for a fact one of them opened up their door into the side of my Z...I have an idea who it is...

damn I am pissed!

 

Make an insurance claim. No one is gonna own up.

 

Can you see any paint marks left over from the other cars?
Check all the other cars doors for damages and paint color of your Z on their doors.
Unless it was only a small dent then you cant really do anything.

 

Get out there and look. There has to be some sort of paint transfer or something. This happend to me and I parked my car next to every vehicle to line up the dent and see who i could eliminate. Then i asked the 3 or 4 possible suspects directly. It is very easy to tell if somebody is lying. The guy that hit my car admitted and apologized and paid for my dent to be fixed. Get to work.

 

No paint transfer, but I could park next to him to determine where the door would hit...would be easy to tell, he has a full size truck.

if damaged is big, u can claim for HIT & RUN, ( but u gotta pay deductouble (spell right?) )
and show ur co- workers that u r mad about that, but act like u don't know who did it, so they will more careful in future,

i don't think i will bother co-workers, even u kno who did it. ( u gotta work with them so.)

 

inter-office wars always end in disaster.

 

send out a memo demanding the perpertrator to show himself!

 

go outside and band the door of all the other cars. Lesson learned

 

use a TPS report, umm yeah, tell em you're gonna need him to go ahead and come in on saturday

 

Set fire to the building after demanding that they give you your Swingline back.

 

Oh, and remember: next Friday... is Hawaiian shirt day. So, you know, if you want to, go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans.

 

That happened to me a few months ago, the guy was parked next to me and he opened his door and left a green mark and a dent on my door, I went up to him after I spoke with HR making sure it was ok and told him he dented my door, he said he would pay for it.

 

Ive pondered this many times. I park my car right next to the window where my office is. I cringe every time someone parks next to me. I'm like a cat waiting to pounce on its prey when they swing open the door. So far, I havent had to kill anyone.

I would definatly try and find out who did it. Being dishonest isnt cool. Good luck!!!
