I haven't yet because I don't really see/feel the need to. I don't really worry too much about massive boost during shift.
The only thing I've done is added a much larger transmission cooler. I only did so because I was already in there adding every other damn cooling mod I could.

A valve body upgrade will probably be next, but I'll be increasing the boost more before I get around to the VB. SGP and GTM are offering nice upgrades for the 5At.

i have an 06 touring auto and i love it for where i live. its very stop and go where i am so it suited me better to get an auto otherwise id be doing nothing but shifting non stop all day long. but what i have done to my car is the following:

an aem cai but gonna replace it with a jwt popcharger i think.... kinetix plenum, strup headers, helix tp's, hks dual cat back, tokico d spec's, eibach pro kit, spc front and rear camber kit, and aftermarket wheels...18x8.5 & 18x9.5 with +1 tires and its been tuned. shed off a pretty decent amount of weight with carbon fiber... thats what i have done as far as performance mods. looking into a underdrive pulley set as well.

I'm glad to see there are plenty of other 5AT guys here doing mods. I'm definately looking forward to that paddle shifter mod.

BTW any of you guys know a way to get the damn thing to downshift into 1st gear ABOVE 30 MPH? Does the ECU have to be modded for this? Is there even one out there we can get? My 1st goes up to like 38 MPH and i'd like to be able to use that powerband.

Get your ECU reflashed and raise your redline to 7K.

I'd say: if you want to mod an AT, it's your world. Just not as fun imo, but it beats driving a Manual in traffic if it's your DD. Sure glad I have a hoopty to drive daily with.

Since we are all having fun listing mods on our Z's, here's my stuff:

Visage Full Body Kit
Billet Grill Insert Kit
Stillen SC - Competition Stage<O</O
Stillen Strut Tower Brace <O></O>
Stillen Sway Bars Front and Rear
Stillen SC Hood <O></O>
Stillen Rear Wing <O></O>
Stillen Oil Cooler kit <O></O>
Stillen STS
Nismo S-tune Cat-back Exhaust System <O></O>
Nismo R-tune Cold Air Intake <O></O>
JIC Spartan Y Pipe <O></O>
JIC Magic Coil over w/Pillow Ball Upper Mount <O></O>
Sun Automotive Hyper Ground Kit <O></O>
Sun Auto Hyper Force System (for ignition) <O></O>
APS Racing BBK
Greddy Oil Catch Can <O></O>
20” TSW Thruxton Wheels 20x8.5-20x10 (too heavy) <O></O>
Toyo Proxies T1R 245x35 ZR 20/285x30 ZR 20
1 Degree Cooler Spark Plugs
Walbro 255

Near Future mods:

GTM 4.2 Short Block
Cosworth Heads
not sure about which Cams to go with yet
AEM EMS
OS Giken Clutch
Stillen Headers
Stillen HiFlow Cats
Stickers to make it go real real fast
and a few more things.
<O></O>

just not as fun? every mod that you currenty have on your car will do the same thing on a 5AT.

im gonna have to agree with that. unless your tracking a car or doing auto x then i fully understand a manual being the premier choice. but a naturally aspirated Z, stick or auto, will practically do the same thing without extreme engine mods of course.

If you want think that way, well, I'm sorry.
