just a major heads up
1.)its become a tough/harsh crowd here
2.)dont make a thread untill youve absolutely have used the search engine..or ppl flame hard such as the grumpy old fukcs
3.)dont take stuff seriously
4.)your duration with the z and meeting other Z owners will make you wanna mod the crap out if ur car..z owners are passionate here

an easy way to figure it out is as follows (by easy I mean no chance of a speeding ticket):
Pick an RPM...any will do...lets say 2000 rpm for simplicity sake.
Pick a gear...3rd...
Drive at 2000 rpm in 3rd.
Make a note of the speed.
Divide the redline of the vehicle by 2000. Multiple that number by the speed you made a note of...
presto...you have the speed for the given gear at redline.
This will work for any gear, in any vehicle with a tachometer. Granted the other way, floor it in 3rd gear and wait til the needle hits red is more fun, but this way works too.

3rd gear example @45MPH
6600RPM/2000RPM=3.3
45x3.3=148.5MPH in 3rd gear!!!! Look out Bugatti here comes my 2005 Z!!!!
