... I can get an email from Nissan notifying me of the Z auction on eBay, but I can't get one telling me anything about my order?

They obviously have my email...
The orders are obviously in their computers...
Put 2+2 together...

Am I out of line here? Am I biased because I work with computers for a living?

I know, I know... and I'm sure everyone's sick of hearing me whine...

The email I got today was just like insult to injury. "No, we won't tell you anything about YOUR car, but we WILL tease you with this other one, just to show you we could reach you if we wanted to."

That's ok, sooner or later my car will get here... hopefully...

I received same email, and my thoughts were exactly like yours.

"Now that you've ordered a new Z® of your own, here's
another Z® you're going to want to know about"

No... I just want to know about my Z thank you!

Well, and also the other 245 people making the soup.

I'm with you guys. Tell me about my Z, not the one you are using to advertise under the cover of charity. This process of ordering the Z and being told we would be able to follow our Z the whole way is crap. The first and only email ends up being a way to get more of my coin. What a load of SH$t. On the spec page it says 247 lb torque....whats up with that.

Right on GEEZEE! Maybe I'll do the same, although I've already sent in a number of rants so by now they're probably just ignoring me.

Yeah, that one definitely pissed me off way more than the Nismo one we got a while back. At least the Nismo one seemed like something we'd care about. This one was total crap. Like Scaf said, "Who cares about other Z's when we can't even find out crap on our own?! What, you think we want TWO that we can be kept in the dark on?!?!"

It is pretty crappy the way they keep us hanging like this. But what if they are doing this on purpose to tease us? I am really anticipating the release of this car, and I know I am not the only one. But what if they are doing this on purpose. To tease us, to keep us crazy in anticipation. So when we actually do get the car, we are relieved from all the stress of waiting and wanting. I really doubt anyone will be unhappy with what Nissan is blessing us with. 50 grand car for 26? You have got to be kidding. Am I dreaming? Nope. It will all be here soon people. Good things come for those who wait. I know it seems unfair at the moment. But when time comes, and your are smiling ear from ear the say you drive your car off the lot. You couldn't are less about what it took to get there. I am just happy Nissan did something like this for us. A car in its own class in 2003. What other car company can say this?

Default Its not even a real NNA spoof!

Doesn't look like a real Nissan NA address to me. Someone just created a prefix to thier domian with Nissan in front of it.

Don't get me wrong, I think the Z is great, but it is not a $50K car for $26K. It's not in the same league as an M3/Z06. It's as fast as a Boxster S sure, but so is a S2000. I prefer to think of it as a $40K for $35K.

That's interesting.

But if true, somehow they got access to the Nissan database of email addys for people that subscribed to get information. People from my work who haven't ordered, received a similair email. Opening line was something to the affect "Because you have shown interest in....", where mine was "Now that you have ordered..."
