Default Petition for new seats?

Has anyone sat in the 2004 model? Are the seats different? I mean, do they have lumbar support? I think I'm developing chronic lower back problems from these seats. After driving I can almost not stand up because my back hurts so bad. If the 2004's have better seats, I think Nissan should replace mine for free. Otherwise I think we should petition for some new seats. It could potentially be a law suit if people's backs develop problems because these seats suck.

yeah, and since they did not force you to buy the car, I believe the lawsuit is out of the question... you bought what they sold you, you cant come back and be like, hey I want THAT! otherwise I think some 300ZX owners might like to do the same "but you didnt tell us there was gonna be a 350Z!"

just an example.

and I heard those seats would only be an option in the convertable, if their offered at all.

I know that "Mad Mike" Taylor, who is the executive director of the national Z Car Club Association, was talking with Nissan on the subject. He was going to Japan soon (or already has), and they were going to talk about it with him.

He was instrumental in talking Nissan into greenlighting the new Z program, so maybe he can have some luck.

My big complaint isn't lumbar, but the location of the buttons on the touring that cut into the side of my thigh on long trips.

As for replacements for 2003s, good luck.

I have no problem with the lumbar, but I had problem with seat shifting side to side when corning... I had to pull the seat out and install a cotton pin on the height adjustment rod..

I have a manual seat.

Lumbar support can easily be added to the seats at a good upholstery shop.

These seats are excellent for me. I hate driving other cars now, and it's not because of the horsepower or handling, it's because of the seats. That being said I did miss the lumbar support at first, but now somehow it's not a problem. I'm thinking that maybe lumbar support is a scam to make a crappy seat feel good when it's really not.

And the problem with petitions is that they don't work
