What should i do???
well my car is totaled. (no i am not gonna go into what happened, but lets just say i rolled it over) the insurance company is gonna give me 20506 and i get to take all my aftermarket stuff off of the car. i have an 04 base with about 64000 miles on it. i can also buy it back and get 15406. my question is if i buy it back do you guys think i can recoupe the 5100 bucks by parting out all my stock stuff. the only thing that is wrong with the car is the roof and passanger side. the interior and drivetrain are fine as well as some of the exterior parts.

Sounds like a pain in the butt to me: negotiating prices, shipping, trying to get paid. And with this wreck in your garage how long is your money tied up? A month? 6 months?

DEFINITELY take the money! No question about it.
If you buy back your old car, it will always have a salvaged title. Many insurance companies wil not insure a car (full coverage) with a salvaged title. IT'll be a headache to own and even more of a headache, should you ever decide to sell it.
Take your aftermarket stuff off and buy a used 07. You might be able to get a helluva deal on a new 07 base if there are still any on the lots. You won't regret it. Some of your aftermarket stuff might not fit an 07, but they should be easy to unload here.
Or don't buy an 07, but definelty don't try to recoup your old car. + what davidv said...
Sorry to hear about that.

Tell then you have cash and can give them 20k out the door. See what they say... It would mean more if you have the cash right now and if you were there in person. If they turn you away, call towards the end of the month tosee if they still have it. They'll be more likely to deal at the and of the month whe they are trying to meet quotas (If it's a dealership)...
You should be able to get at least $3k off of that price...
Or wait and shop around...
