Default Looking to upgrade my new 2008 350Z

Hello everyone,

I was just wondering if I could get some information on upgrading my new Nissan 350Z. I am very new to this but have been looking to buy a Nissan Z for the last three years. Well I am lucky enough to have a good job and have saved up some money to purchase a new 350Z. Now I am looking to give it some looks as well as some added power without spending a lot of money. I do not know a lot about cars modification so any information will be helpful. Thanks in advance for any help.

when modding a car generally the first couple of things that are done, or at least in my experience, is the Intake and Exhaust for power and for looks would be wheels and tires

I have read that post and noticed it is for earlier models so basically the same principles apply?

Thanks.

What Intake and Exhaust mods would you add? What are some of the better sounding while also adding hp.

I hope someone on this fourm would be kind enough to help this guy out because im sure not all of you knew everything about your car since day one.

for the 08 i am not sure what all is out there for exhaust, i would check for Borla exhausts or Injen exhaust, from what i have researched they are both good systems, and it depends on what you consider a good sound, personally if i had a car that sounded like a ricer, i would castrate myself and then feed it to me dog. i like deep rumbles and it is hard to find, but i have found that the Injen True Dual exhaust makes a nice deep hum.

Intake, i would just go to the nissan dealership and get the nismo intake, thats a quick 10whp (horse power that makes it to the wheels)

edit
and not all of us are internet tough guys, sorry for any unnecessary remarks that you get in this thread

i dont think your going to get 10whp from the nismo exhaust. and my 1 thing of advice is that modding and cheap should never be put together.

You will learn more by reading a ton and absorbing information and opinions than you will be directly asking people. As for exhaust sounds go to Youtube and search on 350z exhaust, you'll get tons of videos.

Im driving an 07 an i strapped on the Nismo Dual Intake and Nismo exhaust and i havent dyno'd her yet but there is definetly power added many will tell u that u cant notice it i dont know if its just them but i can feel it on the power band when i open up throttle. Best thing bout Nismo is its not disgustingly sounding loud doesnt take away from that beautiful sound only a Z or a G35 would give ya but it roars at WOT

http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=5871 is the one I believe you are talking about. According to Nismo it was Designed on the dyno for real time power gains throughout the range and provides 10.2 HP and 8.0 lb-ft increase at rear wheels. That is the one I was thinking about getting. As for cheap and mods together I am talking I don't want to be spending $5,000.00 on a single part. If I was looking to spend that much extra cash I would have just put it into getting the nismo version or spent a little more and got the 2008 GT-R I want it to look good and sound good and I agree I don't want it to sound like a ricer either nice deep hum is great. Thanks for the info on where to find that particular exhaust. Of course we are new at this but believe me I am doing my own research but opinions of others are much greater than information that a company will provide you with. Thanks to everyone for the helpful comments.

i say you should get some suspension mods first then rims, since your pretty chill w/ your (kouki) 07-08 motor.
