The Run, anyone know what exhaust it had?
I just got my Run DVD in the mail a week or two ago, and just got around to watching it. First off, that guy drives like a freaking 100 year old woman. It is very cool film wise, cuts and close-ups, but the driving is BOR-ING.
Anyhow, anyone know what exhaust it had on it? S-tune? At the end they say it had air bag suspension in the rear to support the camera and framework for those shots, and airbags were disabled and 5 point harnesses were installed. They make no mention of exhaust, but there is no way that is stock. I thought maybe it was, but at the end when he is free revving at a stop, it's very obvious it is far from stock exhaust.

For numerous reasons, I seriously doubt they would have had an aftermarket exhaust system on that car.
They would have made the exhaust sound nicer in The Run than it does in real life by tweaking the sound with whatever audio/video software they made it with.

hmmm, I beg you all to listen to the end, when he pulls up to the girl. The gurgle in the exhaust can not be duplicated on a stock exhaust/intake setup. I will listen to it again when I get home from work, but I think regardless of what they said, it does not have a stock exhaust.

Outside of the first long stretch of driving, I don't think the drive is boring. If it seems less exciting than the Fast and the Furious, then it probably has something to do with not using CGI, models, speeded up photography, phoney sounds, explosions, etc, which we are used to seeing in the movies. Try the on-disc choice where it's shown totally from the driver's perspective without the music. I find that choice better than the standard one with all the cut away scenes. Plus the disc has a couple of cool docs.
