Default Hit and Run!! argh!

so..this weekend i was parked at this asian grocery called super H mart.
i didnt notice till the day after that my car was HIT!
and, whoever hit my car, did not leave a note or anything.
basic hit and run.
i know the first thing to do contact my insurance co.

but, to my understanding, if its a hit and run, im not responsible for deductible or any payments to fix my car.
any suggestions?

Ouch, tough break man! Super H Marts are a hot spot for the worst drivers on our roads: elderly, Asian, female.

As for insurance, not sure if you would need a police report or not, because the insurance co. may think you hit someone and are trying to get one over on them. Hopefully I am mistaken.

you definitely need to pay the deductible. if you didn't have to, then everybody would just claim a hit n' run whenever they have a small accident.

Talk with your agent. It doesn't cost any money to talk.

That's an importent factor. Your policy may have an Asian clause.

I used to live in SF, not trying to be racist or anything, but there definitely is a correlation between Asians and bad driving. Just the way it is, I used to work primarily with Asians and they would all talk about it, so I ain't stating anything that they don't say about themselves.

Yea like others said, gotta pay the deductable. I was involved in a hit and run and had to talk to my insurance over the phone and got asked a few questions while being recorded. I talked to my agent regarding my insurance rates and they said that in a hit and run my rates wont be affected. Gluck

I hate parking lots. Dumbass in old volvo scraped up my rear bumper at school, didn't leave a note. Only knew it was hit because I was a bit wary of parking next to it in first place (full parking lots ftl).

Second time was an old asian lady who dinged my door, which I didn't notice until after I saw her leave following work. Argh. Nothing as bad as yours though Good luck!

if you havn't contacted your insurance company, do this.

go back to the shopping mall where you parked.

bring a friend with you.
park.
call the police.
when they come tell them someone hit you and ran.
have your friend be an witness, but obviously don't tell the officer he knows you, have your friend make up some ******** car, and he didn't see the tag.
that makes your insurance not make your liable, its in your insurance contract...there has to be a witness for them to pick it up.
