This is kind of a stretch, but autoweek had a big preview of the ferrari Enzo. 660 hp V-12. Now you are saying so what does this have to do with the Z?

well.... " the Enzo weighs 3009 lbs, less than the nissan 350Z, but 400 pounds more than the McLaren F1".


There you have it, the 350Z mentioned in the same sentence as the Enzo and the McLaren F1. Not too shabby.


OK so it was not like they said the 350Z at $26K is a much better bargan, but they could have said the Enzo weighs less than the corvette or less than the 911. They could have chosen any heavy car, but the Z is so hip and cool. It's like the Z is replacing the corvette as the standard of sports cars

 

i'm really impressed with the mechanicals of the Enzo. But the body styling is horrendus(sp)

 

Maybe with a few more articles like this, when I mention "350Z" people will actually know what I'm talking about...?

The 350Z is becoming a benchmark!

Translated: "The $600,000 car weighs less than the $27,000 car but more than the $900,000 car"

 

There is probably a way to take 200 pounds off of the Z, that titanium muffeler will save 22 lbs. But it will be difficult to take any weight off of the Enzo, The carbon fiber tub weighs like 90 lbs!

And BTW the Z looks nicer IMO.
