Default POLL: What's your favorite auto company?

Personally, Nissan have always been my favorite.
Ever since I've turned 16, I have dreamed of owning a Z car.
I couldn't afford a 300ZX back then and when I got into a University, I had to get a 1998 Honda Prelude, since they no longer made 300ZX... I was willing to buy an used one, but my old man managed to talk me down, he thought it was too expensive for an used car.
Now, my dream is becoming a reality. I can't hardly fall asleep at night.

Furthermore, who here think Honda's just overrated in North America?
I hate Honda! My first car was a 1995 Honda Civic and my second car was a 1998 Honda Prelude, I was caught by hype, but they're just way overrated. I must say, I'm glad I'm finally buying a Nissan! Now, if we can have a Skyline in North America...

Who's interested or excited about Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution or Mazda RX-8. Growing up, I was also fascinated by the rotary engine.

Well, that one's easy.

BMW

I have always been impressed with their cars and their quality. I just can't afford their prices.

uhh we DO have a skyline in North america, Its called the G35 and G35 Coupe. In japan both of those cars wear a skyline badge. There are no performance of visual differences besides the badges between our G35 and their Skyline.

Now if you are refering to the GT-R model, there will never be a Skyline GT-R again, It will be called just the GT-R from now on. We are supposed to get that under the Infiniti badge also in the near future.

Oh and my favorite Car company used to be Honda until I owned a Nissan, Nissan is my new hero.

This is a hard question to answer.

I love alot of car companies for their strengths.

I love Honda cause they really are the king of inline 4s.

I love BMW for their inline 6s.

And I love Porsches just because they are sex machines, i mean hot cars.

So to answer the question, I guess it all depends what im in the market for.

tonywenzel, I did mean GT-R. What? GT-R's coming to North America under Infiniti? When? Can you point me to a website?
Please!
How much is it? Just around the neighborhood, not the actual price.

Thanks!

i would guess the gt-r will be 20-30k over the z... same basic platform i believe, but with all wheel drive and twin turbo setup.

its going to probably compete with z06 and viper territory i would imagine

The guy that sold me my Z told me that we would get an american version of the GT-R under the Infiniti badge. Priced around 50k. But this is a salesman who otherwise knows nothing else about cars, but on the other hand Nissan said that the new GT-R would be a global car.

I am really liking the Nissan/Infiniti line of cars.

I used to be a die hard GM fan, but after seeing what they had done like make three different versions of the Avalanche and 86ed the Camero/Firebird. GM has just turned into a dumb company. GM has too many similar cars that are flavorless.

Default I would say it would have to be Buick...

Naw, just kidding. You would have to look no further than my open garage to see my 02 Altima & 03 350z to know where my heart lies.

Although, if I made another $250k a year, you would probably see my 02 BMW 7 series and 03 Alpina roadster in my garage! Oh well, Nissan for now.

There's nothing better than the sound of a Ferrari...

OK I'll wake up - In the real world...My Favorites:

1. Porsche
2. BMW
3. Audi
4. Mercedes
5. Nissan/Honda
6. Toyota

...used to be strictly a Honda person but have recently started to appreciate German Engineering.

...a a kid, I always dreamed about Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Mazerattis, Porsches & BMWs...thought the Vector was pretty cool too...

BMW is number one for me. They treat you like a customer should be treated, yes you do pay for the the service in the price of the car upfront. My last car was a 2001 M roadster, i didnt spend one buck on that car, they covered everything from mobil one oil changes. Always got the car back clean and detailed, and a nice 3 series loaner the only time it had to go back for service. M5 will be my next car.

I have to agree with you on BMW...I had 4 Acuras prior to my last two BMWs - The Acura service was good but not quite like BMW...The free maintenance for 36K miles (50K on 2003s) is nice...I have yet to pay a dime for service on my 01 M3. I am ;however, not looking for to paying for Inpsection II which runs around $1200.00 for my car. Thankfully Inspection II is only necessary at approximately every 60K miles.
