Funny you say that. I just went back to the earlier posts on this thread and this randomly stuck out at me and made me laugh. The critic's signature is: "06' Enthusiast Silver Alloy 6mt..Unmodded as of yet...."

UrbanTacticZ sick car, it looks awsome. The rear wheels tilt that way so they can be tucked into the fender correct? Cuz Thats what alot of the truck guys do with their front wheels.

I'd rather spend 3000 on something that is fun to have, useful, and makes the car a headturner rather than just another Z with a single turbo or a set of run of the mill wheels. Cookie cutter bolt on mods ftl. Half of the bandwagon is probably stock anyway, lol..

Anyway, how much did the setup run you? Any pics from the install?

let's see your 350z?

I got a PPW Z on PPW 3 piece Avus wheels with PPW headlights... How many Z's you see like that? To each his own but let's see your Z...I bet it stands out just as much...there are no pics in ur profile...

I don't even want to bother explaining the car. Let's just say if you think air suspension is only for low riders, people who want a shitty ride, etc. you do not know much about air suspension. You do realize that people do race on air suspension right? Whether it be grip driving or drifting, air suspension is seen in race applications. Many high end luxury and sports cars are built upon air suspensions as well.

To you minitruckers who had/have air suspensions and don't understand why it would be done to a sports car, why don't you list your suspension out and let's see what you have done. Can you run performance coilovers/struts with your air suspension? Because Does your car actually ride like stock or better? Because mine does. My car is not built to "hop." I am running small 1/4" airlines, not the big dong 1/2" lines to make a car instantly bounce up from full down. Instead, I get a slow lift similar to what is seen on the vehicles mentioned above. People need to understand that I am running an air spring. You can basically gut any coilover available on the market as long as the air spring can fit around the shock body, and replace the standard spring with the air spring. It's basically that simple. You take your pick, HKS, JIC, Cusco, Zeal, whatever. As long as the shock body is smaller than the inner diameter of the air spring, you can build your own performance air suspension.

I laugh at everyone who say "I don't understand why it would be done to a sports car" blah blah blah. I bet 90% of you don't even unleash your car's full potential regardless. You daily drive your cars to work, drive spiritedly every once in a while and thats the end of that. But do you realize, that I do the same? This is no trailer queen people, it is daily driven with -3.5 front camber and -9.5 degrees rear camber. I can say one thing though, I don't like the way the car looks in pictures. It looks completely different in person. But, maybe since I do own a marketing company and I am a media rep for various car shows, I should take some better pictures huh?

As far as my tire stretch is concerned and to those who have yet to bring it up... I bet you are the guys who run big *** wide tires and say it gives you a larger contact patch right? You do realize that wider/fatter tires doesn't necessarily mean a larger contact patch or better grip for that matter right?

Don't believe me? Do the math.

Pressure=weight/area

Figure out your contact patch. If you can, then I guess you actually know something about vehicle dynamics and then your quirky comments will actually mean something.

Oh well, can't please em all right?
well not a mini trucker...explorer bagged with 1 inch lines, inch air valves, 2 nitrogen tanks, 2 12 gallon air tanks, belt driven air compressor, hops and 3 three wheels all day on 20's...all custom brackets...no bolt ons here...You have air struts...there are many on the market..best ride and quality is the way to go and you did it the right way...my explorer doesnt ride like stock because the car hops off the ground...if I wanted an SUV with bags that rides well I would have bought a Ranger Rover...

enjoy the your Z

After a couple of days it grew on me...enjoy it

Correct, the rear is running more camber because I wanted the rears to be able to tuck AND clear. The car can drive at 100% full down like that but I don't know why I would want to. Just bragging rights that it can clear thats all.

At ride height, the wheel sits flush with the top of the fender but I do still run -9.5 degrees rear camber daily driven.

See people, different builds for different cars and needs. I don't want my car to hop or do anything like that. I am running 1/4" lines while most minitruckers are running at least 1/2 or 3/8" lines. And in the above quoted post, 1" lines.

Regardless, that sounds like a crazy setup though man! And nice touch with the belt driven compressor, seems like it makes things easier. How long does it take to fill your tanks if they are fully empty? I just run a small 3" gallon tank that sits in the cubby hole behind my driver seat, its perfect for my car. And the compressors are mounted to the rear bumper support (behind the bumper skin). So in reality, I have used no real cabin space for my setup The only additional thing in the cabin is the full digital controller that Dakota Digital sent me for my build. I have that mounted in the sunglass holder up top. I just open the sunglass holder if I need to check or adjust my suspension and close it up when I'm done. Nothing is visible unless I want it to be. Stealth!

at 2500 rpm, I fill both 12 gallons tanks in about 1:30 -1:45 minutes...much better than hearing my previous 4 Viair compressors !

wow now that's fast. I wish my small 3 gallon filled up that quickly. I don't know much about belt driven compressors but I'm assuming theres not enough room in the Z engine bay for one huh?

Just a comment on the airbag: It would be nice to have since I have to drag out my ramp to go up and down my drive way, but for performance it would defeat the purpose. Since the Z is a performance car, the airbag would be asinine. Of course, if they could come up with one that can perform like my JIC coilovers, then I may have to look into it. Nothing like dragging out a ramp.

I don't see anything wrong with this ride height. This is probably where I would put it at if I had the kit.

yeah, i honestly think that looks nice, but there were some pics where the fenders hid the rims itself and it's like seriously? you needa put it that low? but then again no one in their right mind would drive it like that ... or hope not.

Coming from the Honda nation, I can truely appreciate the stance and look! My chit was flared, chopped and molded, I think the latest pics are sick, with one exception! I dont love the stretched tires, I'd save that for my Silva friends!
