Default Worth trading my 06 for an 07/08?

Hey guys, right now I own a 06 Enthusiast with just under 8k miles on it. I love the car, but the new HR's are really tempting me. My question is whether anyone thinks it would be worth it to trade in an 06 for an 07/08.

I'm sure some of you have actually done this, so any input is appreciated.

No wouldnt be worth it to me at least. Keep your 06 i love mine and wait till the newer 3.7 or 3.8 comes out in 09 or 10 then trade. I wouldnt trade my 06 for the new motor i know its good but its not worth taking a hit financially thats for sure.

Financially it will be a big mistake.

Most likely you're still paying interest right now so you will have a tremendous payment or you will have to throw a ton down.

Not worth it.

if you car doesnt have oil problem like the other 06 model, wth do you want to trade it in for??? HR is overrated over normal 350z(dont be mad, HR Z owners! haha)
Like the other have said: you only get hurt financially. With the attitude you have right now, in 2 years IF you buy the HR 350z, you would be wanting to switch over to a different and better motor....

there will always be better and faster cars.

Just keep the 06. If you really want to trade it in, follow Get_Zwole's advise and wait for the next generation Z.

agree keep the 06 unless there is something wrong with it.

Wait till the body comes out (and I would still wait a year after that) and then make the jump

If you want more punch to your car's performance, get a plenum spacer and test pipes or HFCs.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. You hear so much about the HR though, it starts to make you wonder.

Sadly, this is another classic example of human nature wanting the latest & greatest technology . . . right here & right now.

I bought a new '06 18 months ago and it's now paid off. It only has 8K miles on it and whenever I have the urge to look at something newer, I just keep reminding myself that I do not want another bank note. Unfortunately, the mod bug keeps biting me . . .

It is even more gratifying to have my '06 especially when I ran faster times than a Z06 in an autocross . . .

I’m with the rest of the guys, if it was an 03 trading for an 07/08 then we would all be for it, but an 06 with as few miles as you have would be a waste, your car is still almost brand new, mods can easily make up for the HP difference. Save the money.

Yeah but how much money would he have to dump into the 06 to make up the difference in performance? Still not justafiable in any sense. Keep the 06, have fun with it. If you want a new Z just wait a year longer who knows, the new 370/380Z could look worse and be heavier than the current one, by then you could buy a slightly used 08 or a new 08 that they had left over.

Actually, all four tires were flat but he was going downhill while I was driving uphill.

No, I wouldn't trade it in! You're gonna be losing money if you did!!! Definitely wait until we get the 3.7!
