Yea, they say the average should be 12k/year, but that can vary A LOT depending on the driver. Really up to you in the end, but if I was looking for a used one in that year range, I wouldn't personally want over 20k.

wow man 2006 with 69,000...That boy drives.
I have a 2003 with 44k.....You can find them real low as long as you look for it.
Hold out for something good, don't jump the gun. I looked 2 months till I found mine.

69k on a 2006 is a lot of miles but people do tend to drive their 350Zs in summer time and out town travel can put alot of miles on a Car. Most 06s should have about 24-36k miles, but we only drive our Zs half a season my 05 has only 28k mostly highway miles.
That brings up another subject that if its highway miles thats less wear and tear on a Tranmission and engine then STOP and GO inter-City driving. 69k on a 06 unless for an extremely reason price is too many miles reguardless of how they were put on. But if it was a $14-$16k car and in great shape, and I know that it highway mileage or it runs pretty good and trans/engine checks ok, then I still might bite.

Well one positive to buying a newer Z with a lot of miles. Odds are the miles are light (highway and long trips), so it may be worth buying if price is right.
Also, buying a car with very low mileage can be a gamble as well. For instance, a car 2003 with 15-20k miles that is mildly to heavily modified would have most likely been tracked. That 15k-20k worth of miles could have left the engine in far worse condition than the 70k engine you looked at.
I usually buy a vehicle that has either average to high mileage, unless it has warranty, and I knew the owner or trusted the dealership that I was purchasing the Z from.
BTW, I bought my 2003 Z in 2005 with 24k miles (12k per year).

Well a general mechanic friend of mine told me many years ago when looking at used "sports cars" to take the mileage it has on it and double it because you can count on it being rode hard.
You can take that for what its worth as I see a lot of 350s rolling around town with people driving them that you wouldn't expect to be "spirited drivers"
A lot of mileage depends on your budget and how long you are planning on keeping the car (and how much you drive) if you plan on only having it a couple of years well you might not put 20k miles on it and then it might not matter if you get one with 60k miles.
Personally, I like to get used cars in the 20-30k range. Seems to be the sweet spot of newness to price ratio compared to a new one.
There are a lot of garage queen 350zs out there (like mine) that are low mileage. I would keep looking at this point.

This may not mean anything but the past Nissan and Datsuns that I've owned I have kept form 5-16 years some had well over 180k miles on them and still ran like a top. BC I kept them up and I'm not a great mechanic i just had them service which was mostly oil, fluid and regualr maintenance the 280Zx that I kept for 16 years I did replace the timing chain and Also the timing belt on my 95 J30 inifinti last year other that its been gas and Go.
Unlike my 1990 Jeep Cherokee that thing is a money trap but I love 4x4 capabilities when everybody else is stuck I can keep going. Back to topic.
Nissan makes good motors and transmissions not quite as good as Toyota/Lexus but you looking sporter in them.
For a real good price after driving it and get the engine/tranny scoped/
checked 69K miles wouldn't stop me from buying a good looking 350Z if the price was right. If not I'd just pay more to get what I wanted.

theres a lot of seasonal drivers only. So they are definately out there with very low miles sometimes. I bought my 2003 ss touring Z with all the works with only 9,000 miles! thats right, i was shocked. I only have about 15,000 miles...I have had it since last summer.
edit. and the orig. owners just had to put on a full nismo kit
