Default What does new silver look like?

It has been posted a 3rd silver will be on the 2004 Z. I am wondering if those ordering 2004 can tell us what it looks like compared to silverstone and chrome silver availible now on 2003 350z's?

its sposed to have a more "liquid" appearance, similair to the concept silver, but not the same, cause the concept silver was a specialty paint job.

RedComet, I'm glad your not heading the marketing department for Nissan.. 54% of the 350Z's sold to date have been silver.. It's a winner as far as there concerned.. I believe they have dropped the brickyard as only 3% of all 350Z sales shose that color. It makes sense to offer a color that's popular with the buyers. The last 5 cars I've owned have been silver. It doesn't show the dirt as much as black, white, red or blue.. and it has no orange peel..

Steve (k2we) Dobbs Ferry, NY 9821 miles since Sept 17th....

Actually I have to agree, they are stupid. There is only so much you can do with silver! It's really not a color that has a lot of shades to it. However, they are going to go with what sells, and if another silver will make them money, then more power to em. I used to love silver and always wanted to buy a silver car, however, everyone and their mother now has a silver car and I don't want to be like everyone else.

People are going to buy the Z no matter what color it comes in. Having the colors just makes it harder to choose when buying one.

The important number are how many made in what color and then the percent of cars sold in that color.

I actually bought my brickyard after hearing they planned to drop the color. I have received more compliments on the color of my car than the actual car itself. I just had to be different! Well I guess my car will stand out at every meet against the 97% of other colors

I used to have a 98 240sx and the colour on that was called
silver moss. It had a hint of green in it and was absolutely
stunning. So far no green tone in the 350 line-up so I wonder
if they might be doing something like this. 3 silvers is definitely
a bit much, but I can see the new silver taking on a completely
different colour tone. It only makes sense.

There will NOT be 3 silvers, Chrome Silver is being replaced by liquid silver. Same paint code, just more depth to the color as I understand it -- closer to Benz silver instead of what it is now.

Silver is actually the most popular color of all cars bought in the USA.

Take a look at the '04 Maxima Liquid Silver, it's supposed to be that same color...

I still went with the Silverstone on my '04 order.

Go cruise up to your dealer. Check the 04' maximum brochure if they gots one. Can't really tell to much of a difference from Chrome Silver but it appears to be a micro bit lighter. They should also have a big poster board with real color pics.
