I have both but the Z is going up for sale soon. They are both good cars, just depends on what you want. IMO the advantages are:
Z:
- Better daily driver
- Torque
- Exhaust note
- Utility: for a 2 seater you can load it up (4 wheels/jack/tools/etc.)
- Looks great with just a drop and some deep dish wheels.
- Much better suited for drifting if you are into that
S:
- More nimble, just feels precise and purpose built
- Fit/finish and engineering seem to be a notch above the Z
- Good track car out of the box. The stock brakes are much more capable.
- Gearbox is nearly perfect
- Not as common
Z:
