This question has been asked numerous times.
The Honda S2000 is a sweet looking Roadster with a slick 6spd transmission and awesome 4 cylinder engine. But it really has to reved up to feel its power. It is a natural for stock auto crossing and looks good going down the road. Both cars IMHO are not 4 season vehicles.
The 350Z is a sleek looking Roadster or Coupe with a smooth powerful V6 thats power is available at any rpm. It has better interior amenities and storage then the S2K and has a more civil ride. It is the best of both worlds it good on the city streets and better on the track.
Except for interior button & swichtes the 350Z Roadster or Coupe seems to be a step up to me. The S2K is a vehicle made to race auto X and can be driven daily, but the 350Z can do both easily, made to do both as is the Z tradition. I dislike the hide away radio of the S2K.
I like both cars but given a choice I'd take a Z-car Roadster or Coupe.

This topic has definatly been beat to death. I also considered the S before I got my Z. The main thing I like about the Z is that it handles VERY well, and has more usable power band than the S. I had an 01 prelude before, you can say I was/am burnt out on V-tec. I think its cool technology, but, been there done that. You wait, you wait, then suddenly your cars fast. So yea, you get the economy before it switches cams, and power after mmmk. Personally, I dont like the thought of having to rev the **** out of my car to have power...physics and common sense. I'm not sure about the s2k motor, but the prelude had frm sleeves in the block to help it last longer due to the high revs. This caused oil burning, not only that, but they had to be removed if you wanted to build it for FI. Even if the s2k doesnt have the frm sleeves, it still has the high compression ratio, making it kinda illogical to go FI unless you have money to waste. The s2k is a better handleing car, but that shouldnt take anything away from the Z, it handles fantastic as well. I live in Idaho where we have lots of mountains, so I find myself going over mountain passes, maybe more often than most.

there is nothing like going over a mountain pass in 6th gear, and your revs under 3k. try that in your s2k.
...and klubbheads, I'm not impressed. You have really contributed nothing to this thread, all you did is perpetuate the fighting.
