wow this is a real shame. victor was a genuinely nice guy...and pretty damn sharp for his age. I think this site won't be the same without him here...he was so helpful to everyone. damn.

hey victor, ive said it in the "update" thread, but Ill say it again. I, along with 99.99% of the people here are incredible appreciative of your hard work to keep this site pieced together, and for getting it fixed. It is truly amazing you are still sane after such an ordeal. We thank you for your knowledge, hard work, kindness, and wish you luck with any future endeavours.

Maybe Vic is just giving up as a moderator, kind of like in Superman II, but he'll stick around still? But I can totally understand if he got fed up with all the complainers, because I run a bulletin board and write free software, and there are always a few people who blame me for all of their problems, and pretty much treat me like crap. Whenever there's some kind of hitch or disagreement, the complainers get 100 times worse, and all jump on me at once. But that's their problem. I don't let it get me down because there are a lot more people who truly appreciate it. I bet it's the same around here.

I donno, but do you REALLY think that a person that put as much time into the site as he did would just walk away from it all together?

After buying this site from Jay, Tako has done little to improve or inspire usage here. Without Victor the site would have died a slow but inevitable death. It was not VQ who should have taken over the day to day babysitting here but by default he did. The other 350Z sites I frequent have hands-on, responsive owners. I moved away from here about six months ago due to the attitudes voiced here and availability of other 350Z sites.

A caretaker can only put out so many fires, flag so many idiots, stop so many inane threads before he is fed up. It is not that Victor quit that was a shock, it was that he held out so long with little vocal support or thanks from the members or apparently, Tako.

Default What happened to all of VQracer's posts????

All of VQ's posts are gone, no more TSB or mod list posts, and if you search for VQracer as a user no results.

VQ, besides all the whiners there are lots of "quiet" readers who appreciate the site and the work you MODs do around here.

The few squeeky wheels should NOT dictate the site. If you MODs were doing a bad job the site would NOT have the traffic it has. Trust me.

I never cared if you are 17 or 71. I think you show good judgement and have been a great asset to the site.

We all have an off day. Don't worry about anything, just come back and continue to make this site what it is.

And enjoy!

Actually, I was always impressed that Victor was as young as he is. He seems like a smart guy and he knows a lot about life. I always think he's way more mature then I was at his age.

Default damn I came onto this thread late

I guess it's true?
Vic, I'll miss you. You did a lot for this site! And remember, people only complained b/c they thought the site was GREAT! Like a Z - people complain about it b/c it's not perfect (but nothing can be), but the Z still rocks and we LOVE it. Who complains about a Ford Focus, everybody knows it sucks.

Anyway, my point is, you did a great job. I hope you aren't feeling too bitter or discouraged.

his last action was to prune every thread ever created by him, and he forgot to save any of them. then he deleted his own account.

he will be back eventually, but he says he wants a somewhat less active role.
