"liquid" silver, similair, but not to be confused with the real liquid silver used on the concept car.

thats the only color we have heard.

thing is, 3 silvers seems crazy, so youd think itd replace one of them...

and also there have been rumors that the brickyard is going away, so there could be another color, but we donno what it is if so.

wooooho all this talk of the new liquid silver is persuading me to wait for an 04 model. Im interested in a silver Z only (Aus doesnt get silverstone) and always thought the Nissan silver was quite poor......doesnt have enough depth or that real metallic look of euro silvers.

I read that Nissan already have liquid silver on a maxima, can someone please post a pic of this car for color comparison.

Ares i rekon liquid silver will replace chrome silver. The 04 cars may even land without the extra window grease, tranny problems and clicking drivers seats that have plagued the first cars......fingers crossed!!

If the liquid silver is the same as the one on the maxima than it looks very close to chrome silver. I didn't have a way to compare but it almost looks like the same color.

all the "problems" such as tranny, grease etc, were mostly on early porduction 2003 Z's with vins under 75000..vins in the 100000 range do not have these problems as the factory retooled and corrected most of the problems ..my vin is 116843.. No problems! None!!! also if your car was built in 2003 you should not have any problems..hope that helps!

Well, except for the tranny issue, I would label all the Z stuff I have encountered minor and/or easily fixed. So, I'm happy.

The real loss for the 2004 owners is the wow factor of being the first in your area with the sweet ride...

BS, my Z has a better metallic and silver look than my dads SL55. In order, my dad was looking at my cars and his and he says he like my wifes Jetta silver the best, followed by my Z and then hhis 55 , ironic isn't it. Look at my pics the Z has a good color silver I think it is better than the 911 nad MB silver, never have compared it to BWMs though.

window grease, bose, and seat click, is all already fixed and there are TSBs for it.

tranny issues, if theyve fixed it, theyd have it on all the cars produced now, they wont wait till 2004 to start putting out a more reliable car, cause every car they produce with a problem is likely gonna cost them money when they have to replace the tranny under warrenty.

Im not saying theyve fixed the tranny issue yet, but its not a gaurentee that itll be fixed for the first model 2004 either.

Default 2003 Problems

My car was produced in April 2003 and I have not noted any of the problems listed on this site. Even the paint looks better than my 2003 BMW (although not as thick of clear coat). It does seem they have correct all the problems. I do not have the Boze so I cannot speak for that, I decided to go with a custom install eclipse unit. The Z is a great car and the 04 will be even a little better.

My car is in the shop now for a new tranny and amp. Should be done today or tomorrow

I am really looking forward to the new tranny. Others that had theirs replaced say it shifts much smoother.

Please people, if you are asking a question then put a question mark at the end. When you post like this, it implies you have information, not that you are asking a question.

WOH! sit back down rodH, dont get defensive. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. US cars must get a different silver to the Aus cars then, coz the silver isnt as light or metallic looking (i.e. those reflective things in the paint) as the merc/bmw/audi paint.....thats what i can c neway, and i trust my own observation.

I agree that the wow factor is lost on 04 cars but thats irrelevant here in Aus. Z sightings r still a rare site, and hopefully wont become as common on the roads as US. Just keep buying them and demand will continue to limit our set production volume

Whats more important for us 'Aussies' is when we will get 04 models. I have enquired at dealers but all i get is blank stares, probably coz theyre more interested in moving whats sitting in their showroom. Also if these TSB fixes r made at the factory or at US dealerships.

I agree that the Bose will unlikely be fixed but i dont mind. I already have all my audio gear waiting.....thanks to guys like toronto350Z And i guess i can keep a chamois with me for the windows

bose is already "fixed".

there was a problem with the audio pilot changing the volume in correctely. they quickly fixed that.

now the "problem" is that people just want better sound. but as an user and listener of a few "premium" sound systems, the bose is on par with others, but as always, a few steps short of aftermarket sound.

however, this is not a problem that nissan is likely to fix, only stock system that really catches me is in lexus.

this is a little off topic, but you NEED to listen to the stereo in a 2004 Jaguar Vanden Plas. My dad has one and it is absolutely the best sound ever in a car. My mom has a 2004 RX330 and the sound is close, but still not as good. The sound of the stereo in the Jag is breathtaking.

If you think the jag has a breathtaking sound system well my friend you should hear the Bugatti Veryon.

I would also like to see a yellow like James' car, the paint job is amazing.

The Mark Levinson (sp?) in my dad's Lexus SC430 is the best I have EVER heard. It is perfectly balanced with the top up and down.
