How's that Non-Grand Touring with your non-existent brembo brakes treating you? You should have just stuck with the riced out celica.

BTW ... you fail at life.

Now there's no need to include specs of your reproductive parts, we have kids reading this forum

Last i checked just prior to an autocross about 3 months ago My G35C was down to 3280 lbs With a 1/4 tank of gas and me in the driver seat. The stock motorized seats were changed out with corbeau CR1's, wheels are enkei nt03's which are sitting at a whopping 19.4 lbs for the 9.5 inch rears. , jwt clutch/rps flywheel. rear seat back removed(only on race days) all metal clamps and associated bolting was replaced with zip ties or plastic wire ties. about a lot of sound deadening removed and thinner carpeting put in.. Painted CF trunk, spoiler, and hood. non motorized aero mirrors. stock blose headunit, amp, and speakers were removed and replaces with a sony headunit and alpine speakers and a single 10inch sub/200w amp. then of course the stock intake tube and housing replaced with a ztube/jwt popcharger. SS headers, crawford HFC's, TI exhaust. I know im forgetting other stuff but its late. cheers!

The only reason I would consider weight reduction on a car is if I was trying to shave seconds off of a track time - which I'm not.

UR FUNNY DUDE....taking out ur spare is stupid but hey its his car his life and let him deal with a blown tire you dont need to join his immaturity and bash him....next time you name products off do your research....the normal cf that seibon sells is about the same weight as the stock parts on the car....the only way your gonna save anything with cf is if you go dry carbon hood with out the underframe and dry cf doors with out the frame and dry cf trunk with a lexan glass not regular glass....but do most of you need that...no most of the cars on this forum r show not go and thats cool too....this thread reminds me of the honda forum "how much weight did you save and hp did you gain?" lol

ohhh if you really wanna loose alot of the weight take out all the sound deadining material stuck inside the care...you will take out about 150lbs of that stuff

Hmmm, well i have time attacks and those weigh nothing plus a CF hood but lets be honest, the 2-5 lbs it saves over the aluminum hood isn't gonna mean much. I suppose i could do some more cardio at the gym?

This is true. I mean I'm 150 lbs so I think that's light enough that I don't have to worry about the net weight overall. I would be concerned about it more if I was in the 200 range lol.

The last time I weighed was way back in the singe turbo days to be honest, I think it was 3194 with full tank of gas. At the time, I weighed 230 lbs.

I have since lost 35 lbs off of me, and the car has twins now, but with nice forged internals and carbonetics clutch. I have no idea what she weighs now.

if you are serious about dropping weight:

CF hatch with Lexan window
CF Fenders
CF hood
CF bumper cover, or some sort of quality JDM bumpercover in fiberglass NOT POLY. (think ING's or C-West)
CF Doors
Lexan windows (no more motors to roll up and down needed either)
Strip the interior
Racing seats. (not your padded brides either, go for something that F1 uses like sparcos that don't recline)
light weight Clutch (Mine weights in at 8lbs)
light weight flywheel (Mine weights in at 8lbs)
light weight Wheels! (duh)
Headers, ypipe, catback (quality stainless is not much heavier that Ti, and its easier to weld/repair) ((the stock stuff is friggin heavy))
Lose the CATS (testpipes weight is nada)

Horns? nope.. don't need to beep.
Steering wheel with airbag? heavy.. ditch it for a Nardi, something that will hurt when your body hits into it
AC compressor.. cya!

Spare tire and tools.. kiss em' good bye

and lastly.. don't forget to ditch the wiper fluid reservoir . (seriously)

when your done.. throw a roll cage in it.. and slap a number on the side.. your Z is now a race car, and not a street car.

Wow, you should show more pics of that race conversion.

I normally hate modded Zs but that looks intriguing.

I'd also be curious to see how much money you spent on that, and if you did it yourself.

ok but how much weight you save afther this,

going CF .. is not so cheap and if you get only "10Kg" off is not worth the money, but if you end up with a 1200kg or lighter car then ....

anyway what is the lightest 350Z so far and what mods were done to him to get to that weight

Lets see..

Stereo delete (head unit and all speakers)
Carbon fiber hood
Carbon fiber hatch w/ lexan window
Spare, tools, jack tossed
Corbeau forza seats @ 18lbs per
Momo steering wheel (airbags gone on both driver and pass side)
Tanabe super medallion Ti single exhaust
Braille 11.5lbs battery (stock weighs ~35lbs)
Air conditioning system deleted

I think thats it. However, I've added weight:

Turbonetics ST
Kirk racing 4 point roll bar
AP racing 6 pot bbk w/ 14.25" rotors (not sure how much more these weigh then stock brakes, but assuming its more due to rotor size)
assorted GT spec and Tanabe braces

Wish I would have weighed the car to get a baseline... But I will put it on the scale regardless when its done to see how fat it is.

Some of us have a reason to drop the spare.
