IMO i personally woudlnt buy a car with a new engine...the miles on the engine wouldn't be the same as the miles on the car. unless nissan would reset my odo.

Well I am moving to Texas shortly, and if the time ever came that the motor needs to be pulled I am PM'ing you.

Well If I was buying a used 350z and it had its engine replaced for said oil problem I would look at it as a positive.

If I was buying a car that had no real specific engine problems and the engine had been replaced under warranty I would be a bit worried. Was this car abused or is it just the first sign of a lemon?

I have had engines replaced and rebuilt in older cars (70s) and for the most part this has always been a positive.

NNA would not reset your odo just because a new motor was put in. What about the wear and tear on the car for the actual miles other than the motor? If that was the case, there would be garages full of qualified rollbacks technicians.

I would rather have a manufacture swap the motor than some fly-by-night garages. The most important thing is the warranty of the car itself.

Mine had the shortblock replaced under warranty due to oil consumption and still uses oil but not as bad. Since I don't drive it hardley ever, it really doesn't use much oil.

I would never buy a car that had it's motor or shortblock switched out, unless it was an old muscle car, which I would never buy anyway.

Years down the road I don't expect to get **** for my car, which is why it will be put back to stock as much as possible, when I do sell it someday. Unfortunatly whoever does buy it will get some wide *** 19" wheels and tires on it, whether they like them or not and Nismo exhaust, pop charger and aluminum intake tube, rear spoiler, Hotchkis springs and intake duct LOL

It will be so many years down the road, i don't really care what I get for it. If I sell it in 5 years, I would be surprised to get 14 grand for it, if that. This is why I have no intention of selling it for 5-8 years by then I won't care and want something new anyway.
