Comparing similar year and mileage to honda s2000 and its clear that they hold their value way better than our cars yet were almost the same price brand new.

If anyone can find me a roadster 6spd touring in the mid teens I would like to know. I have only found some with 100K miles on them for mid teens price. They seem to be around 20K with around 20-40K miles on them.

A lot of it has to do with gas prices, the weather and availability. Think about it- many of the people who are thinking of selling a RWD sports car like the Z will do it when they need to get around in the winter- which floods the market.
And about the S2K holding it's value more- pretty much any Honda will holds it's value over anything else (along with Toyota). The good news is that Nissan isn't too far behind. All of this has to do with reliability and availability. Just about any vehicle that is Japanese will hold it's value pretty well compared to domestic brands.

This one is 18.9K. Assuming you arent a noob at the dealership you could probably get them down closer to 17k.

One reason I steered away from the Honda badge is because it cost too much for something that is compared to Nissan. Sure, Honda has a better reputation for reliability. My reason for buying the 350z over the 2k's was because it's more bang for your bucks. They styling was pretty much a coin toss. If you're buying it for resale value, then you're in the wrong business. Cars depreciate. Just be glad it doesn't drop value like Chevy's (except the corvette), Dodge (except the viper), and Fords.

I bought my 06 touring last year with 12k miles for $22k (US) in Philly. Up here in Canada they can go for $40k (C). At the time our dollar was higher so I really got it for about $20 (C). I'm hoping when I eventually sell it here in Canada I won't take much of a hit.

resale values
Guys,
Modern cars depreciate, unless you get something rare and hold onto it. You buy the car, you drive the car and you don't worry about the resale value.
Have fun
