His is a 350z too. If it was the MAF wouldn't it be idling like crap?

what exactly do u mean by wiring problems. . .what kind of wiring problems and who fixed it?. .it's possible that something may also be shorting out say if you hit bumps or rough terrain. . wire's may be touching due to not insulated properly ..

I had a few lights on when I had the wiring stuff, but I erased them out and they haven't come back on since. I just had a loose connection for the fuel pump. I fixed it. And I don't think it's when I hit bumps. The road was just repaved and it pretty smooth. And it only does it at around 4.5-5k and feels like it cuts power and the rpms jump down to around 3k. I can let off of it and get back in the gas and it will go fine. I haven't gotten it out of second like that though.

could be that the fuel pump is shorted out. .and at higher rpm's it's not giving enough fuel to the engine. .due to that clip. .it's possible. .that it spiked the pump/ or shorted it out. ... .this might be a long shot but if you have a fuel PSI gauge. .see if you can test the fuel PSI at higher rpms
at idle w/vacuum. .psi should be 51
there is some kind of tsb about a PSI tool ..but i dont think it's all that.. but i do see a TSB for lack of engine power due to cam pos sensor failure. .engine may also shut down. .but hey im lookin at most of the TSB's dealing with your description. .

and yeah it will only do it with a load. .cause engine's free with no load. .so it's still not requiring more fuel. .

Hmmm. One of those codes had something to do with power to a sensor. It didn't say what sensor though. It was P1229. The light hasn't come back on though.

Oh I forgot to say could it have popped those codes when I had my harness uplugged? I forgot to plug the main harness back in before trying to start it when I was tracing the wiring.

I reset the ECU to see if it would help any. I took it out and it did fine through first, no problem with tire spin. Then right before hitting second it started doing it again. That was after running long enough to warm it up.
