My bank has title.. does anybody have experienced with trading in with the dealership when you still owe money to the bank?

Well say you still owe 20 grand and the dealer gives you 15grand for your trade then the reamaining 5 grand gets added to the loan for the S2k. Unless the dealer gives you more fot the z then you owe then nothing gets tacked onto the new loan.

I hope you're short. Z to S2000 rider room is a significant change. Other than that, good luck.

What he is trying to say is: The "negative equity" from the Z (the amount you owe minus the amount the dealer gives you on trade in) is tacked onto the new S2K loan

Try to sell your Z privately to limit the amount of negative equity, because the dealership will ****-ize you.

ive owned 05 s2k for 10 months...its a great car, fun to drive, yet very low torque and lack of room for mobility. Im pretty sure u fell in love because of the convertible, i would give yourself an opportunity to try the z convertible as well and compare both...

OP must have read the S2k thread and decided to go to the Honda is better than Z side....... Whatever you do, make sure you think real hard before you pull the trigger. I've driven S2K....they have no torque. And don't even get me started with the interior room...

i really like s2ks but the problem is the interior space. I tried driving one and it was hard to turn the steering wheel because my legs were hitting it so hard. ha. Im glad I went with the Z instead of the s2k thou. If your a short person its not a big deal but im tall. My friend has a black s2k with the black hard top and some bronze volk ce28's and it looks badass, i honestly wish i could have his s2k but id probably end up driving into a wall cause i couldnt turn the steering wheel. Id say stick with the Z thou.

It's all going to depend on how much negative equity you have. I put a LOT of miles on my car. This is why I don't have my Z yet. I bought my 330Ci with 40k on it in Aug of 2006, I now have 91k on it. I owe about 8 more than any dealership will give me for my car, and banks won't finance $8k on top of $17k for a used Z. So, I'm currently throwing anything I can at my BMW so I can reduce the negative equity. Yay....

Hard top is a $6000 ,and it must be dealer installed and your looking at 15hrs labor-unless you buy new-then you can have it put into the price of the car
