Unless you're getting $$ for racing, it don't matter! WE ALL LOOK G-O-O-D IN
OUR Zeds! THAT'S the bottom line!!! I even cruise-control mine to 55MPH, to
save gas (squeezing 2 weeks out of a tank-ful!) Enjoy your rides & worry less
'bout lap times, dudes!!!

Why get a sports car if you're into saving gas?

The 300ZxTT would beat up on an HR.

My friend bought a TT with 30K original miles. It pulls a LOT harder than my car. Though...it is slightly modded with another 7K in mods going on shortly.

300hp stock vs 287hp stock... and that's if the other car was a 6spd and not auto ( really suprised me that I could beat it... I think I suprised the driver of the newer car as well )

my 05 has nismo exhaust, nismo cai and 20 in wheels...( and whatever else the previous owner put under the hood- haven't really looked yet ) the 05 feels faster than the 93tt... the traction control really helps the tires hook up where as the tt will just spin when the turbos spool up

05 = 300hp + exhaust and intake = ? + traction control ( I haven't figured out if I like it or hate it when driving fast... have done launches both ways, sometimes it helps, sometimes it sucks... although I can get some nice drift when I turn it off and try to drive fast up a curvy on ramp )

93 = 300hp but with no traction control and some older BFG on 16 in rims
( very easily breaks traction )

cornering? I think my 05 will beat the 93 hands down- just feels lighter and tighter. ( I know it's not really lighter ) Much quicker and more precise when the road gets bumpy and twisty

straight line? seat of the pants feel? the 05- since I can't drive both cars at the same time, I'll never find out.

although compared to my cbr1000rr - both cars feel slow
That's what I'm talkin about!!!!

No it wouldn't. They are heavier, and also slower stock than the HR. Your car doesn't have a HR reason why it gets beat.

True. An HR is quicker than a Z32TT stock for stock (as was said a gazillion times already in this thread).

Though...it is slightly modded
That's why it feels a lot faster than your 350Z, slightly modded Z32TT's can equal easily over 300RWHP.

who cares... and a stock Z32 TT vs a stock Z33 is a DRIVERS race from a stop. you cant sit there and argue it either way.

you can spend 3 G's on a Z32TT and get well over 400 Crank HP.

I know american cars suck, thats why i have a Fit and a Z, at least i pratice what i preach.

After all, im sure all sports cars are judged on their drag racing speed only, you know like the miata and S2K he loves so much, those things are drag superstars.
The show is fun to watch for the tests they do, but if you want acutal intellgent comments on a car, read car and driver, not the opinion of a fat yellow-toothed, poorly educated, arrgont, sexist, racist pig.

True that, but tell ya what, run a 400hp-500 one on a track and it will still be left behind. I loved it when I passed many Z32s TT, modded ones at MotorSport Ranch in 2006 at the convention in dallas with my G35 sedan with some suspension work.

you are a better driver. i owned a Z32 and a Z33, the handling difference wasnt much in favor of the Z33, and a heavy *** G sedan?!?!?!?!? doubt ANY of those guys knew how to drive. give me a Z32 with 400 HP and you can have your "sedan" with suspension mods and i'll destroy you on any track...

not if your suspension was stock you wouldnt.

but also, why did no one look up the stock drag times for a 300zx? that is the easiest way. i thought they were almost the same, like rated at within a tenth or two.

Better driver? Doubtful since the guy has ran track events a lot. He just couldn't take the turns well. He had a completely suspension setup too, no idea what he had, but it just didn't seem to handle that well. My G35 had Stillen Sways and that was all for suspension but I had some nice F1 tires and light weight Kosei wheels. The 350Z/G are known to handle better than the ZX anyways. The G sedan only weighs around 3300-3400lb. It doesn't weigh that much.

I was there in 2006, driven from NorCal, in my black Z32TT. Most of those guys are NOT track guys. They are enthusiasts that joined up for a track event. I ran low boost, around 440rwhp that day, and I promise you that no G35 Sedans passed me. We also drove TMS.

ME, with stock suspension Z32TT and 400 HP would OWN a stock motor G35 sedan with every suspension mod there is.
