Which Z is faster?
I hate to say this guys, but all the debate is over--turns out the z32 TT will trounce the 350z and it barely beats a 240z from the 70's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeNZluEhydE

The 260z that almost had the 350z is modded. A 240z or even a 280z with a stroked and cammed engine will easily walk a 350. If im not mistaken didn't the Z32tt have more power to the wheels than the 350

I've seen that video before and always found it interesting and impressive wheather using the company name of Datsun or Nissan they have always made some great sports cars. Having had every NA ZX throughout the years and have driven most of the turbos I was impressed the the 350z smoked the 87-89 turbo ZX those things are fast as I remember. The 260Z had to be modded I don't remember them being that fast 160hp are so but light weight, 7.5 0-60 time fast for that time.
Still that was impressive to see I think I'll put that in my video collection.
Topgear tried hard to halt 350Z. try again still over 200,000 sold. I'm loking to buy another after the 370Z comes out.

Make no mistake, the Z32TT is faster than the Z33 - not sure if it's faster than the Z33s with the HR motor, though. Anyways, Jeremy Clarkson hates all Zs except for the 240Z. He said that the Z had become too large over the years and it became more of a Grand Tourer than a sports car, and he's probably right. By the time the Z31 was produced it had become a serious GT. Although, the big deal about the Z32 was that the Z was returning to its roots in 'Real Sports,' and this is further achieved by the Z33 which is less of a GT than the Z32, because it's smaller. I don't necessarily know why he doesn't like the Z32 or Z33. There's no doubt that they're both great cars. Wonder if he'll badmouth the GT-R, too.

On the Top Gear magazine few month back he stated that the GT-R is,
"In terms of all around peformance, it's the best car ever made."
I have a 93tt 5spd and an 05 anniversary 6spd...
the tt is stock and I remember beating an 03 when they first came out - not off the line, but after the turbos spooled up in 2nd and 3rd.... we ran out of room- but I think that I would have pulled really hard in 4th and 5th with the turbo
300hp stock vs 287hp stock... and that's if the other car was a 6spd and not auto ( really suprised me that I could beat it... I think I suprised the driver of the newer car as well )
my 05 has nismo exhaust, nismo cai and 20 in wheels...( and whatever else the previous owner put under the hood- haven't really looked yet ) the 05 feels faster than the 93tt... the traction control really helps the tires hook up where as the tt will just spin when the turbos spool up
05 = 300hp + exhaust and intake = ? + traction control ( I haven't figured out if I like it or hate it when driving fast... have done launches both ways, sometimes it helps, sometimes it sucks... although I can get some nice drift when I turn it off and try to drive fast up a curvy on ramp )
93 = 300hp but with no traction control and some older BFG on 16 in rims
( very easily breaks traction )
cornering? I think my 05 will beat the 93 hands down- just feels lighter and tighter. ( I know it's not really lighter ) Much quicker and more precise when the road gets bumpy and twisty
straight line? seat of the pants feel? the 05- since I can't drive both cars at the same time, I'll never find out.
although compared to my cbr1000rr - both cars feel slow

Repost or not, the Z32 TT would get beat by a HR 350Z. Done it twice already. But the Z32TT can beat the DE's.
