that is surprising. did the G35 sedan come with brembos? guys with Z's don't even say that.

it does depend on the track, but if we were to race at Laguna Seca he would lose. over 400 wheel horsepower car that weighs 3400 pounds vs a stock G sedan other than coilovers that weighs 3650... you're the one making me laugh

I'm as big a Z32-fan as any, and although LS is a HP track, it is still VERY driver dependent. It takes big ***** to be fast at LS, especially approaching turn 2 at 140+ mph.

It's the upgraded brakes that Nissan did for 2005. They did it on the 06 (maybe 05 too?) Zs as well for the standard brakes.

Again I have no clue where you get your info from but the Sedan weighs around 3300lb. Mine weighed 3380 at the track for a 05 which was heavier than the 03-04. The Coupes weigh 3450+.

And who is talking about coilovers? Shoot my sedan only had Stillen sways and still beat the 300ZX and other 350z on the track but mostly passed 300s.

info is from Nissan North America. 2 of my friends are service technicians one for Nissan the other for Infiniti. and 3650 is in fact incorrect my bad, he looked up the weight on a 2005 G35 Sedan with AWD. a 2005 G35 Sedan with a Manual weighs 3512, automatic weighs 3468. how did you shed the pounds if you only have stillen sways?

I had a base model 05 Sedan with sunroof. No bose, had leather, heated seats, but nothing extra.

I also had Stillen True Dual Exhaust gen 1 which was a bit lighter than the stock exhaust. Just like the Z33, the weight figures from Nissan are not accurate. I had other performance mods, but nothing that was suspension other than the sways and wheels/tires.

oh okay. actually you know whats funny. the stillen exhaust for the 350Z is actually heavier than the factory system lol. anyways, no need to argue, like we both agree, its down to driver and the specific track and blah blah blah. im not much for arguing, especially online. have fun with your car, and i'll have fun with mine. for the record i love my 350 wayyyy more than my 300 for anyone who might think that i think the oppposite.

I believe the Track version had Brembos (standard) at its inception, as did the 35th A.E. (an '05 model).

We are not talking about brembos but the standard brakes.

I didn't think the sedan had them (I have them on my Z now from a 06g35c )

They had them first before the Z did actually.

You really can't compare FI to NA, unless you are comparing a v8 to a low psi v6 or inline 6.

You're also comparing power to weight ratio between a 240z and the 350 whale.

Take a good look at my screen name, and think about the topic we're discussing. I have not driven the 350 at LS, but have at T-hill and Buttonwillow.

just for the record a stock z33 vs a stock z32tt in the US is about equally fast. my friend got a 90 z32tt about the same time as i got my 03 z33 and we raced them, and we were dead even about. However that's comparing us emissions standards on the z32tt, the i believe the japanese z32tt is faster than the z33 because the z33 is not held back by any emissions standards
