Default For all of you who think us young'ns don't deserve nice, fast cars

I'm 18 yrs old, drive a Z track model, and love it. My family and friends all consider me to take extra special care of my cars.. and rarely do I ever see my rpms go above 4k in my car. Now for my story..

As I'm leaving my local mall and get onto the main street I encounter a G35 sedan with smoked tail lights.. think nothing of it. As I pull up next to him at the stop light in traffic, he decides to turn his music up real loud, Flo rida-Low. I look over and see two mid 20 individuals. Once the light hits green he lets the cars in front of him get aways ahead of him so he can do a 'fly by' to me. And as well pull up to the next stop light he decides to rev at me.. (What a real BAMF huh?) Once the light changes to green he takes off and decides to be a real ***** and cut people off speeding (maybe trying to impress me?). But it was real pathetic.

Anyways I'm done ranting of my experience.. I thought I'd share.

PS. Moral is, age isn't everything.

I agree that age isn't everything but I'll tell you what everyone on here is going to say. It's an indicator of trends. Sure, there are always some people in every age category that may act mature or less mature but for the most part, younger people, with less life experience are going to be more likely to do immature and dangerous things. I know that when I was 16 and had a 4 cylinder Pontiac Sunbird I was a pretty cautious driver but still from time to time something would happen where a buddy would take off and I'd try to catch up. Or when it's snowing and I didn't know how to drive in it I would have had a much higher chance of doing damage in a Z than a Sunbird. So, good for you being more mature than the 20 year olds and keep it up so that you can prove to everyone that younger people can handle higher powered cars.

If your going to drive the car like a pu$$y maybe you should get a honda.

The Z is a sports car and at the right time, like on track days, on the dyno race days and from time to time on local freeways your car go do more than 4000 rpm's without being a road hazard. Age has nothing to do with your tachometer.

Um yes maybe on track days but like I said I'm a full time student so I dont have time to take it to the track and I'm not going to drive in traffic like a *****. Way to call us safe drivers a pu$$y. You Fgt.

Haha

What if you were to say that you were the one revving at a mid-20's guy in a g35 sedan, and wrote a thread about it?

I bet most of the older men here would say "thats why young kids shouldn't be driving a z or a powerful car"

but since you drive the car like how everyone should drive their cars, they'll call you a poonany and you should stick with a honda

ironic aint it? so drive it like a honda! but.......dont add on a fart can cause it will just add -30hp to your car.

i agree, it isn't all about age, it is more about the maturity level... BUT as stated above... the young ones are the ones that are more likely to act immature rather than the 30 somethings. you know?

so funny that when a young guy does something foolish, everyone is willing to jump on their back....which is understandable.

but when a young guy is shown as the responsible one, everyone will ignore that and jump on whatever else they can.

Lose lose for the young guys i guess
