rumor..true or false?
I personally tend to not believe the rumors until something is confirmed by Nissan. I remember all kinds of crazy stuff that used to fly around before the Z was debuted, and pretty much all of it turned out to be false. (Although, I sure wouldn't have minded that 500 hp V6!

word of mouth distorts the truth sometimes... i bet the AWD car will be the GTR..apparently will be based on the g35 coupe platform 2+2.. close to 400hp and turboed.
if the gtr does come over, there would be no reason to introduce a turboed and/or AWD Z or G35.

It seems to me that Nissan would only do that if there was enough AWD competition eating into their market to more than offset the costs of adding AWD. I don't think that can be, and I think they'd more cost effectively increase sales by lowering the price of the Z, the weight, or topping 300 HP.

The sedan (skyline) has AWD available. I can see them using it on the G35 sedan, since is a direct carry over. I can't see them using it on the Z because of the traditionally RWD platform.

huh? You mean the discountinued model R34 GT-R? Because current skyline (G35) does not have AWD.
