You seriously need to ask for a new interior, new engine, tranny, driveline, rear end....
by the looks of those wheels you may need new suspension too.
DEMAND that you get ALL of it replaced.

It sounds like you might as well fight for a new car. By the time they fix all the obvious damage as well as replace the engine, driveline, and suspension, they'll be pretty much rebuilding the whole car. I'd rather have a new one than deal with that mess. I don't know how realistic it would be to expect a whole new car though...you need to talk to your lawyer.

I've never had to deal with something like this so I could be way off but here's something to consider if you're going to fight for a new Z (which I think you should) if the insurer wants to repair.
Contact your dealer or better yet Nissan directly and ask them if they'll provide a letter stating warranty will not be honoured if signs of abuse can be shown as the cause of failure. With this in hand inform the insurer they'll need to cover future costs of repairs as well for the duration of the warranty. Might give you some more ammunition but as I said I could also be way off on how things work over there.

very good idea! I have never thought of that angle before....
It may be cheaper for the ins. co. to just fork over the $$ for a new car and then they can sell the existing Z for parts or salvage.

Why is it when thieves steal a car, they always gotta f*** it up like that? I mean, I know things get damaged from ripping stereos and stuff out, but the wheels and paint? C'mon, it doesn't make any sense to bother damaging these things, unless you want to burn the car to hide fingerprints. Stupid thieves should just get what they want and get away. That's why they eventually get caught.
