I'd go with the Base because of the mileage and warranty (assuming it's transferable).

The relevance of the AE is only worth anything if you keep the car until it's a collectable (40 years from MY date I think??). If it's just another car you'll have for a few years, go the 07.

I would go for the 07 base. HR motor vs. revup oil consumer. If you want an LSD buy a Quaife it drops right into the base pumpkin.

Definitely the anniversary edition, no doubt about it. Yellow is equal to secks. And also, it's probably like a touring trim. Base doesn't have LSD.

out of those two choices, I'd go for the 07 and get the quaife as soon as you can.

speaking from somebody who owns a 35th anniversery edition " ultra yellow" i would say this. if you plan on doing alot of modding to the z down the road ie, FI, LSD, after maket seats, wheels etc...etc. get the base model. if you are going to keep it mostly original and just enjoy it as is! get the 35th. if i had to do it all over again i would have bought the base and done my modding accordingly. i have the 35th and modded the hell out of it anyway! i ended up removing alot of the things i paid extra for on the 35th package. it was a waste of money in my situation purchasing the 35th edition.

From what I've seen, base models have horrible resale. They always go a large amount cheaper then Enth because shoppers want at least a LSD and Cruise Control. My opinion is to look for a 07 Enth.

I have an 06 enth. and my brother has an 07 base...there is a noticable difference in power between the two BUT yellow is a rare color and only available in 05. If you plan on going all out with performance or you plan on selling it in a couple of years I'd say the 07. If its not an everyday car or you plan on keeping it forever, and you like having a limited color (although others can paint it the same) I'd get the 05. But hey a Z is a Z.
