this is not the gas pump, lol. it happens to me every time i fill up no matter where i go. I usually have to hold it at about halfway to get it to take.

Thanks, I'll try that upside down method. I've been pumping at an angle and low flow but even if I move a little bit it will stop...

you sure you searched because its a known issue with the flutter valve in the fuel tank and there was a recall...

What I found that did work is to keep the pump hose pointing toward the rear of car, handle parallel to the ground. The pump can go full force and it shuts off normally.
