Default Do you STILL have NCS?

I had to run out to my car this morning to grab a few keys I left in the center console and after opening the door and reaching in I realized that after 7300 miles and over 9 months of ownership I am still LOADED with that beautiful NEW CAR SMELL!

So how many of you still have it and at what mileage???????

Whose still got the NCS?

(I'm trying to find the car with the most mileage and the new car smell!!!!)

After two months and 4,700 miles I still have the NCS. I think the leather interior holds it longer.

I have 1900 miles and I can't smell it anymore. Guess I am just used to it or something.

Well I've only had my brickyard for a little over a month so of course it still has the NCS. But, my 91 also still has the NCS (no spray's used!) & it has 66k on it.

under 10k after 9 months? jeez, you need to take the z out more. i have over 13k in 9 months and the ncs is all but gone. oh well, if i really wanted i could just go out and get the spray.

Are you a smoker?

ajk4 - this is my second car. Believe it or not, besides the occasional local drive I have taken two long trips in the Z. One was San Diego to San Fran and back (1400 miles or so in the trip) and San Diego to Sun Valley Idaho (2100 miles in that one week trip) Remove those two trips and I only have3800 miles in the nine months!

Funny- if I drive my Z for 2 or 3 days in a row (which is rare), the smell seems to go away - if I leave the car closed up for a week or so, it comes back - maybe part of this has to do with "getting used to" the smell, but I think having the car closed up w/o air curculating through the interior helps brings back the smell. I have 6,600 miles, purchased in September, 2002.

Back in 1998, I saw a 1980 10th Anniversary 280ZX with about 1500 original miles. It had basically been in storage since new, and a hint of the new car smell was still there - after 18 years.

6700 miles and I dont think the new car smell is there. Hold on let me go smell................. Nope all gone. I have the GCS every once in a while. Oh I'm sorry GCS is Girl Car Smell. The few times my wife gets to drive it she leaves her perfume smell in the car. Which is quite better than the FCS that I leave nehind sometimes. I love mexican food and I sometimes leave the Fart Car Smell. So from that to GCS, I invite my wife to ride or drive my car to get the better smells in. J/K guys, I dont fart in the car, that would almost be sacrilegious. I pull over on the side of the road, exit the vehicle. then return. Proper steps.
