Just wondering what others are paying for Freight and Pre-Delivery Inspection? My dealer says $1,100 is the normal charge, and that they want to charge something extra for the Z.

I believe this is one of the differences between the US and Canada when it comes to buying new cars from a dealer. Can anyone who knows the details of such things elaborate?

 

I was quoted about the same figure. No surcharge.

BTW, while reviewing my bill of sale, I noticed that I was charged GST + PST on fuel tax!!! Is this type of double-dipping allowed?

Also, I don't understand why I should pay a dealer administrative fee of $150 if I intend to purchase to own (no financing)?

 

Just looking at my invoice now:
Air excise tax $100
Tire recycling fee $17.50
Documentation $95

GST charged on all of above.
