I watched the avi file since my work computer sucks and can't play mpgs... but anyways...
The driver was definitely on point throughout the entire course, and was definitely moving. At 2:04, it appears he even pulled a "pissing dog"... Hell yeah for ***** out driving!

edit: MPG version doesn't work for me either

Sorry about that MPEG, guys. It worked great on my shitty machine at home.
The course is the same in all three runs. Check the time stamps. Looks like they were just a few minutes apart. The driver is a writer for an auto mag, Motortrend I believe. His performance bodes well for everyone if someone can drive the car for just a couple of days and master it like he did. Listen to the announcer, listen how many times someone else topples a cone ("+1").
He didn't hit a single cone on any of his three runs captured on the video.
Are you stoked?

I just joined NASA- thinking about HPDE at Lime Rock in November- otherwise you'll see me at VIR in the Spring.

I saw this at Z06vette.com...posted by a Z06 owner on June 23rd.
Z of a different ILK
Well I saw what was probably the first
NISSAN 350 Z in action today...I must say, looks aside, it was impressive on the auto-x. It ran stickie tire times on street tires. The car will not even be available for sale until August and because it cannot be classed yet ( they have not been fully spec'd out yet) All of his runs were fun runs. Heads up as these may well give us a run for the money...oh yeah they do cost a bit more. Its looking like about 80k... They look more like a Porsche than a traditional Nissan Z body style.
FYI

Based on what I saw today, old man rust will need a Zo6 to latch on to the 350Z! In the hands of a good driver we will have some serious competition

I agree about the aesthetics but based on the performance I saw on the auto-x course today they handle very well...the power is less but if you use the same logic..vipers out power us and we generally prevail because of the handling... now the shoe may be on the other foot. we shall see... then again maybe it was a fluke lol

I only report to you guys what I experienced yesterday and saw with my own eyes...The money part was as already stated scuttlebutt. I suppose I could have mis heard 30 as 80 or the dealer mis spoke...It is NOT a pretty car IMHO. It just went faster than I expected. It may end up not being competetive with us, but on first blush I did take notice! To the best of my knowledege this was a first or near first public track outing for the car.

CORRECTION CORECTION CORECTION
THE 350 WIL SELL FOR ABOUT $33K NOT 80 AS PREVIOUSLY POSTED...EXSUSEEIE MEEE PLEEEZE
