Default coming from a 98 Integra GSR...? about insurance

given everything is the same, how much more would I expect my insurance to go up coming from a 1998 Integra GSR?

I'm currently paying ~ $100/month on GSR, down from $150 several years ago (got married, bought house, turned 24, etc).
We're also paying just about the same for a 2001 330i as well.

I'm set on a Z, but if my insurance is going to be way off the roof, it adds a kink in the plans

thanks!

I am almost 40 with a clean record. I pay less than $500 semi annually with a $500 deductible.

I got rid of a 2000 GS-R for my Z and my insurance is probably 50% or more LESS for the Z. Integras have high premiums, at least in Chicago. They're a frequently stolen car and there are probably many claims...

I'm a G35 Coupe owner, but coming from a 2000 GS-R, my insurance went down $170 a year. Now pay around $1100 per year in MA.

looking at everyone's reply, it seems there are a lot of factors involved...location/age/record/car

Probably be best to just call your ins and just ask them.

btw, i've got a 98 gsr as well .

the High GSR/Integra insurance is due in a large part by it's theft statistics. the Integra along with the Honda Accord and Civic are very frequently stolen vehicles. I think one report even showed that at some point the Integra was the MOST stolen vehicle in America, for multiple years actually- probably not consecutive years though... I know the Toyota Camry was #1 one of these recent years...

just my two copper lincoln's...

Peace

I had a 98 GSR and moved to an 03 350Z as well. I have a clean driving record, am single, and 27 years old. My insurance dropped from ~$1800/year to ~$1500/year (with Progressive). I need to shop around a bit, though, cause that seems pretty high for having a clean record.

be wary of Progressive. I've heard horror stories about them. Basically, as long as you don't have to file a claim, your ok, but once you do, you're in for a world of run-arounds from them.

I've also noticed insurance is incredibly dependant on where you live. When I lived in St. Louis county, my insurance was waaaay less than when I moved out to the SF area. I've lived in 3 different cities around SF now, and my insurance has jumped all around depending on where I lived.

Also, as far as claims with progressive go, I couldn't be happier. I had my car broken into in my carport a few years ago and had my stereo stolen. They came out the morning it happend and I had a check from them less than 12 hours after the incident. I had just had the stereo installed a couple months before, and since I had the receipts, they gave me exactly what it cost when I had it installed.

Then I was rear-ended (in my integra, not my fault) and they were fantastic with the claim. I couldn't be happier with their service -- but I *do* need to shop around for better rates from other carriers.

My insurance also went down, from my Integra Type R. I will be paying about $20 less per month.

Default Just go to 21st.com

to check your rate online. You don't have to put real info to get the quote. I am getting $600 for $500 deductible with the highest coverage for 350Z and old car (liability only for this one) here in northern CA.
