Question 2009 Z?

Hi All,

So after having no luck to locate an used AT 06-08 350Z, I thought I could get a new 2008 model.

But then I heard 370Z may be out in 2009, which means buying a 2008 now is really a loss, since I could've get the 2008 AFTER 2009 comes out, with a reduced price?

What do you guys think?

I highly doubt 370z are gonna come out in 09...
It's rumored to show @ Paris auto show, which is Nov... I'd say it's gotta hit at least the LA auto show prior to them releasing the new gen Z.

Plus, do you really wanna get first year cars? I can only sense problems and more problems...

Yeah, after doing some research, apparently there is a chance 370Z would come in as a 2010 model.

I am not gonna wait that long to join the Zoo. I think I'll pick up a 2008 model.

I think we'll see a new Z in 2009, it may not be until fall but still 2009. Even if not I would wait it out a few more months just see what the next Z is going to bring. It's only a few months from now before we'll see what the next gen Z is going to be about and then you can make a better decision on what you want to do.

I would wait atleast a few more months just to make sure when the 09z is comming out because if it is close, you could get a nice low price. Honestly with the renderings about the 09z... I highly doubt you would even like the 09over the 08. As far as the discount, its why you should def. wait a few more months.

Edit: Not too long though.. or else you won't find the color or trim you want.

You probably want to wait for the 380Z in 2010.

Wow didn't notice you were from Vancouver haha, my hometown.

I heard there's only 1 trim over there, which is the GT, and you pay hella lots for it too.

From what I have seen and heard at work, Nissan is working to bring out the new Z in the not to distant future. We just had a PR survey from Nissan about the new Z. And I heard the new Z should make its debut at the LA Autoshow. There is a very good chance it could be out next summer.

It's actually suppose to have a '09 release, and yes stay away from First year productions.

Smaller isn't always good for DD's and people who need room for some luggage. Also, the pictures we have seen of the new z is just gross. Waiting can't hurt though, but there is a good chance of 09 being either ugly, pricey, or have first production model issues if you even chose to wait and get it.

save your money so you can twin turbo the 370. In the mean time, i will drive the hell out of my z. Then in a year or 2 we can meet up and see if your 370 was a better buy. lol

370Z is believed to make its first appearance in November this year at the LA motor show. Considering that, it is reasonable to think the car will be on sale in the next year. Do not know exactly when, it could be early spring or fall. You never know. I wish I could get somewhat reliable and close to final photos of the new Z because I would go for 2008 Z if it is in fact as ugly as some of the scoop photos have shown. One photo looks like the mask of Predetor... Price is also a factor. If the price stays pretty much the same or does not go up much and the design is decent I would wait for 370Z, but otherwise I will want to secure my 2008 Z.
