I wouldn't get rid of my Z even if it would save my life.

I'm actually buying a bicycle so I could save miles and gas. Work is only 4 miles away and it will be my cardio days.

Well here in santa barbara, we're already paying $4.xx for premium. Some stations are $4.18 but I wouldn't give my Z up.

I was thinking of selling my Z because of these gas prices but the Prius widebody kits just cost too damn much.

Dont get me wrong as "former" (3rd and last serious accident was really convincing) 20+ yr crotch rocket pilot, Im no bike hater. Im still a diehard bike rider at heart and still have my 250 NSR crated in storage.

Tho I just have to say.. If you decide to buy a motorcycle, you also run the chance of never complaining about anything (let alone gas)ever again...

Be careful out there.

You obviously know very little about how the price per barrel is determined and should likely stop posting to avoid further embarassment.

Put it this way, if you bought a Z for fuel ecomony, wrong answer. When you buy a Z its cause you really aren't to worried about the fuel consumption. I bought my first Z a few weeks ago, and its strictly a garage queen. I bought only for pleasure I still drive my gas gustling V-8 pick up to work every day. I'm lucky if I get 16 miles to the gallon on that thing

Gas is about $3.50 here in AZ

I traded in my Grand Prix GT to get my Z and got 20 MPG in the city, 32-34 on HWY with it.

But my 350 gets same in the city but a lot less on the HWY.

I rarely go anywhere for long distances though so it doesnt bother me.

LOL

If a few bucks in gas is causing you to come close on bills, you probably shouldn't have bought the Z in the first place.

While at the gas station last week, I was running numbers in my head. When my Z hits the road after winter slumber in the next few weeks, I will be paying about $60 more per month for premium gas than I did last summer.

If that minor increase makes someone want to sell the Z, I would tell them that they bought the wrong car to begin with.

Default honestly..

once I get my z, it will be a relief from what I have right now. I have a dodge ram right now and it eats through gas like crazy. It has a 25 gallon tank and takes anywhere from 80-90$ to fill up. If im correct, the z should take around 50-55$. I'm saving anywhere from 30-40 each time I fill up, so I would feel like im saving a crapload. if i fill up once a week, i will be saving from 90-160$ a month in gas. I guess I can put that towards insurance
