When you put down the deposit for your car, does the final price on the paper work supposed to be:
Lets say the Z is $33,500
and you put down the deposit ($500), so the price on the car on paper should note the deposit saying $33,500 - $500 = $33,000?
Or will there be a seperate agreement I have to sign regarding the deposit?
Can someone explain how the deposit process work?

Ideally all of the numbers should be on your paperwork with the deposit listed into the calculation.
Price $33,500
Less deposit of $500
Net amount due $33,000 upon delivery
......or something similar.
Just make sure you get the final price of the car in writing and then get a receipt for your deposit, which will go towards that final price when you take delivery.
I actually got so excited when my Z came it that I wrote the final check for the [u]full amount[/yu] when I took delivery late on a Saturday night. I had assumed that they factored in the $1,000 deposit, and they had forgotten about it! When I got home I called them about it and they said that they would straighten it out Sunday afternoon (they were running a big sale that weekend). When I arrived, they did have a record of my deposit check, and so I just wrote a new check for the car, $1k less. LOL. It was a hoot. A grand here; a grand there. Sooner or later it adds up I guess.
Oh, yeah. Welcome to the forum!
