Full or half-tank of gas?
I've been hearing that some people just fill up their Z's with just half a tank since it is lighter and they can get better gas milage on their cars (pending driving habits) and some people tell me that it's better to fill it up all the way, since your gas evaporates faster if it's in the low position.... so what's the best way????... Sorry if this thread has already been up somewhere... thanks!

i just fill it up till i get bored.
i dont notice a difference of weight, gas mileage, and etc.
if you fill it half way, you gotta stand outside at the gas pump 2 times more often.
There, you spend opportunity costs, more gas money pulling into the place, and losing 0.001 of your hp to gas fumes =OOOO

you should be using premium gas. Your car deserves that at least...
I usually fill up whatever $40 bucks PREMIUM will get me. its pretty interesting actually sometimes i can have a FULL tank and other times its just HALF-3/4.

You 89 octane guys should be using premium like the manual recommends..
You have a high compression, high performance motor.. you could be doing harm or the ECU is more likely retarding timing (ie. losing power) if you continue to use 89 over a long period of time.. You might as well trade your car in for an Altima if you'd rather save money on gas...

if you wanted to spend money on a sports car, at least spend the money for the gas it needs.
your ruining your nice car everytime you turn on the engine vs saving 3 dollars at the pump?
say you fill up 4 times a month, 12 bucks a month,
144 dollars a year to ruin your sports car? if you need 144 dollars, buy a sentra >.<
but if you dont drive a 350z, (your missing out! haha jp with you)

Each to their own I guess- everyone has different needs..... my work is 2-3kms from home, the missus lives 5kms from home, if i go out it's usually by bus as I'd be drinking.... I use 98octane fuel which is something like $1.40/L and get maybe 15L a week so I'm fortunate in that regard that I don't have anywhere to far to travel regularly.
I find it ironic that those weight-reduction fanatics who rip out their air-con and passenger seat and then fill up a full tank
