I was born in L.A., learned to drive in L.A. and left about 15 years ago.
Ive never had any accidents knock on wood.
Some honda accord rear ended my suv (hitch ball) but no damage whatsoever to my suv.
However for your 350z- looks like a costly rear end accident,... and appears to be more than you'd think. Honestly, hopefully they total it, cuz it will never be the same. drivng down the street like one of those that I call "creepers". I wish I had a pic to show you. the z will probably vibrate, and not drive right at freeway speeds after the bodyshop gets done with it. dayum!!

Yeah, that was the wrong move. You always call the cops even if its minor damage. If I was you I would file a police report asap. Hope your allright. You defitnetly need a police report if your neck hurts so you can follow up with medical treatment and get a lawyer asap also. But first get your report then call a lawyer. The lawyer will refer you to the write doctors that specialize in whiplash and neck injurys.

Wow that guy really ***-packed you. I hope everything works out. If you haven't already, go to a doctor and get checked out. Just in case.

I agree as long as there isn't any frame or internal floor or strut bar damage.

If there is this might be closer to $10K. However, still, not enough to total imo.

Good luck !!! If you can get it back with the custom body panels you want on there you'll be ahead of the game imo.

Of course, you'll probably notice some whip lash in the next couple of day. That looks like a pretty hard hit. I'm been rear ended three times now about the same. Each time I've gone through about six months of rehab. Imo Chiropractor works best. However, I only used a Chiropractor the last two times with success. Even with that I couldn't get back to running for about a year. The first time I never really got any better. I got hit too soon after... ~ 7 months.

It's now been over 10 years and I run 6-8 miles a week without much pain in my neck and back. I'm so glad I can run again like I used to. It took a while ... be patient.

I actually hope you got hit the right way and didn't get a whiplash.
I'll cross my fingers. If so, your one lucky man.

there is where you messed up. most insurance places will not touch an accident claim without a police report, even if you exchanged cards.

Wow thats pretty bad. My dad smashed his 06 Z the third week he had it. $16000 damage. Nationwide would not total the car because it was worth too much. I love my 07 but, if it had that much damage Id have to get rid of it. It is true that a car is never the same after an accident of that magnitude. Id make sure to take it to the best body shop possible though. Just tell them u want it fixed right. Take their time. Good luck with paint match. My dad has a DB and it still doesnt look right after all this time. They never matched it right. Good luck

Agreed. Mine was rearended when I had less than 1000 miles on it and looked nearly just like marhots Z. The bill was just a hair under $9,000. And took THREE MONTHS TO FIX.
