well, its not so bad in this case for not calling the police. its a rear end collision, which means the other person's fault. hope you have witnesses to make things easier if they other person denies responsiblity.

like other's have said it will take a lot of work and money to fix that. i'd be suprised if they don't total it

Lol, at calling the cops after the drifting accident. To the OP, good luck, my state requires a police report. I hope everything works out!

damn-im guessing about 15k in damages-thats pretty similar to the damage i had last march took 6 months to fix-make sure they paint it right-ppw is a hard color-took the body shop a week just to get the paint right.if there is frame damage, you can try to get them to total it-tell them your afraid to drive a car with a weakend structure.

As said before always involve the police , it will definitely make dealing with insurance easier. Plus the police will usually hand out a ticket to the person who caused the accident if the cop can make that determination..... a rear end accident = a no brainer for the cop! That way the jerk who was tailgating you will be nailed by his insurance company when they bend him over for his new premiums.

police report = no deductible

now your going to have to pay your own. if there is no frame damage then i would say 5-7k in repairs.

I agree following too close is problem here no doubt for some reason people like to try to keep up with a snazzy looking Z-car/Sports Car. Some actually want to race at every corner from trucks to Mud buckets others like your guy don't want to race but tell people he was right behind a Z and it didn't leave him that far behind. You have to stop and Blam youre rear ended!

Could be totalled could be just replacing two rear panels, thats hit pretty hard maybe totalled.

you should've definitely called the cops and make sure to go see a chiropractor. whatever neck injuries your are experiencing will also be covered by the other guys insurance. That was a brutal hit to your Z and i would also hope for it to be totaled.

Well, just to clarifiy, you don't always need to call the cops when you get into a accident. It's kind of pointless for when it's a rearend situation that sometimes is small damage and obvious that it is the person behind you's fault. All you have to do is get his information and call your insurance company right then and there. If he disagree's and tries to act like the blame is on you, call the cops and make him stfu because a rearend 99% of the time is the person who hit you from the back. Make sure you do that because then if you don't it will become your word vs his. I'm not sure if you contacted your insurance company or not but if you did your clean. The damage should be paid for and your company will deal with his company.

Good luck, that really sucks either way

I'm thinking 'totaled' after seeing both rear quarters destroyed.
