i would investigate and see if she were either on medication or has any health/physical problems that probably should have kept her from driving, who falls asleep driving in a residential neighborhood?

I don't know the specifics obviously as she might have been drunk, hung over or just tired - but she might also have Sleep Apnea.
It's not uncommon for people with the condition (who don't know about it) to feel that they are safe to drive as they slept a long time the night before, but actually have not had any restful sleep at all.
I suffer from it (as I have posted in other threads) and one of the reasons for getting myself checked out was a scary incident in my previous Z.
I was doing 70-80 in the fast lane of the Westpark tollway on my way home from work, everyone else was doing a similar speed.
I blacked out for a second (or so I thought) and woke up doing 80 in the slow lane and starting to drift into concrete on the right. I had felt fine up to that point - but clearly my body needed to rest.
It might have been a second, but it's not unheard of for longer periods and frankly that's all it takes for you to wipe out and kill people.
Just my 2 cents, if it was a genuine illness like this then it's a shame, but at least she now knows to go check herself out.
To the OP - glad no one was seriously hurt and that you are ok, cars and houses are insurable and lets hope you get it all back together quickly

A quick estimate from everyone hear would be great since the cop needs a rough estimate for the report and he aint too bright.

Im pretty much planning on it. Right now i hate to say it but it would be a hell of a lot eaisier to deal with if the car was totaled with frame damage.
As of now i cant leagaly drive a rental car (have to be 25) so im not insured and will have to get a ride back to college. And god knows how long it will take to get a check from the dicks at the insurance company then how long it will take to get fixed.
If shes totaled then i might have to make a decision between another Z / M3.

Ive got a challenge for you guys.
Here is a picture of the tire marks at the scene and my lines of what i think happened.
Red = Hers
Blue = Mine
Green = Initial Position of my car
So i guess her car left the ground when it hit mine.

That's no good. I like your wording though. She decided to fall asleep lol, like she made the decision right then and there to go to sleep. Anyways, take it to the Nissan dealer, they'll do the best job of fixing it and you shouldn't have to worry about it since it was her fault and she should be paying for all of it. Also, the Nissan dealer might have a lifetime warranty on everything they repair. The Honda Collision Center did when my civic was wrecked.

Insurance adjuster is currently here and hes a giant pushover ***** so im probably looking at about a solid 2 months without a car.
He wont even write down that there is suspension damage and much less give me any for that until a shop declares it and he comes back to the shop to see it for himself and blah blah blah...
The wait at the recomended body shop is a least a month and god knows how long it will take the techs at nissan to sort out the suspension stuff.
So basicaly **** ME

Just got word on the shop and a week and a half is the soonest they can start so not as bad as anticipated.
Bad news: I got the estimate from the adjuster and they added $38 and .8 hours of labor to totaly fix the suspension.

Make sure you ask for depreciation value since your vehicle will now come back on a carfax that it has been in a major accident. Also there are places that will rent to someone under the age of 25,you(well her insurance in this case)will have to pay a little more, but it can happen. I was 18 when I got my first rental car after an accident. By the way I am an insurance agent, so if you have any questions, shoot me a pm.
