Default For those who bought in last 4 months and DID NOT trade in, how much did you pay for

REposted for cwerdna

Please only respond to the poll if you DID NOT have a trade in. To clarify, it should be the amount before tax, license, and destination charge. If you paid an advertising fee, please post a reply saying you did along w/how much you paid.

The poll is somewhat misleading because discount on a touring model is giong to be more than discount on a base model.

Unfortunately, polls are limited to 10 options. I wanted to have each option with and without trade in for instance.

Also, it depends when (in the production year) you bought it. The later in the year, the more discount.

I paid $34,000 for a Silverstone Touring model with all options except NAV. I doubt I got the best deal but I got a car I love.

Who was your salesperson? Looking to pick up a new Enthusiast Z in the DFW area and I wouldn't mind the extra drive if it saves me a few bucks!

Default meant NEW!

UGH! Hopefully everyone that responded to the poll was referring to buying a NEW one. Throwing in #s from used ones really throws things off since cars depreciate quite a bit esp. in the 1st 2 years.

Default IT'S ALL GOOD

$1,275 under MSRP...but this car is CHEAP, considering the performance & style, at any price.

The dealer could have rolled me. If he'd said MSRP firm, take it or leave it, I'd still bought it!

IMHO this car is a great value.

Don't forget about the area also. In CA, Its really expensive and because of the demand, Dealers are not willing to negotiate. Most dealers, (especially in So. CA) only have 1-5 car in stock except for Cerritos Nissan(9 in stock) & Universal Nissan.(32 in stock) as of 6-22. They usally are more willing to Negotiate because they have enough inventory.

It seems to vary a lot by dealer. One dealer I went to, Burien Nissan in WA kept pushing MSRP and they had 6 on the lot at the end of the month. I spoke to my salesguy for my Maxima at Nissan of Fife (they have "special pricing" for employees of the company I work for) and he said a nickel over invoice. Too bad they have none right now (the low price is probably why).

I guess I'm heading to Fife. I had a good buying experience w/them and wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

I spoke to the guy at Fife, and they said "a nickel in auto industry" means $500. I dunno if he was changing his story or if he really meant $500 when I first spoke to him... hmmppphh. I bought a Maxima from him before and had a good experience.

I guess it's back to shopping around a bit again to see if it's good price for this area.
