yes this is as crazy as it sounds. Last monday i was like 200 yards from my house at a stop sign about to merge with traffic where the speed limit is 50. I pulled out and had to get up to speed pretty quickly so I shifted at about 3500-4000 rpms. All of a sudden a cop who was behind me flipped on the lights. I was so confused b/c the speed limit was 50 and I never got past mayb e 35 when he put em on. He actually started to write me a ticket for "unreasonable exaust volume" when I laughed and said "IT'S STOCK!" he made up some more ******** and eventually let me go. I told him to not even bother giving me the ticket since it's stock and will obviously get thrown out in court. He was an a$$hole, seriously I hatye the cops in my town. they always pick on young kids for the stupidest stuff. a friend of mine got pulled over and pinned on the side of the road at gunpoint, beaten a bit and then told "soory you can go we thought you were someone else" I hate the local cops in my small quiet town. sorry for the ranting

That ridiculous...

Some cops will pull you over based on their empty assumption. They'll try to use that crap as leverage so they can do an **** check up on your ***.

Dealing with a handful of cops in my lifetime some are smart but a number of them don't know jack.

My friend told me this hilarious story: (I will try to keep it general and brief)

One time an MR2 raced another car down an empty road. Sure 'nuff some squad cars were parked in a nearby parking lot. They turned on their sirens and chased after the two cars. The other car got away but the cops were still on the MR2's tail. The Mr2 quickly made a turn into another street and right into the parking lot where all the racers met. He parked his car, got out, and leaned next to it.
The cops pulled into the parking lot and rolled by every car. They stopped and questioned the guy in the MR2 "Where were you a few minutes ago?"
"Sir i've been here for awhile...but I did see another car like mines speed by if that's who you're looking for."

So the cops got out and he knew he was getting caught for sure. They walked up to the FRONT hood of the MR2 and placed their hand on it. " It feels cold to me...looks like the kid is telling the truth"

They both got in their squad car and as soon as the cops boned out the parking lot there was a eruption of laughter.

if only all cops were this stupid

speaking of MR2's..... I saw a suped up one by Aero Dr. today, real clean not ricey at all, and as I was watching it park I saw this HOT *** asian/mixed girl get out......

I don't know what it is about HOT girls in HOT cars, it just leaves me....

Cops in my town are mad chill. Small little suburban town. 2 square miles. Never got a ticket, but been pulled over several times. Most recent was a couple of weeks ago for no front plate.

"Errr... yeah, because I have Zaino on my car and it takes 2 weeks to fully bond to the paint. After 2 weeks, i need to bring it back to the dealership and they will put the plate back on for me."

Good thing it wasn't at night. He probably would have given me a ticket for Tinted windows and having blue LEDs in my clearance light.

 

Houston cops are being really cool this summer. They never really bothered me until the whole street racing scene came up big.

Still, they have been nothing but nice to me when I'm in the Z, or when I used to drive a truck.

College Station cops on the other hand....

 

im in newburyport, maybe 45 minutes north of boston.
my friend did go to a lawyer but was basically said that since it was dark and there were no known witnesses there was no way it could be proved. cop's word against his

 

The thing that makes this so stupid is that the stock exhaust is WAY too quiet. Most of the folks I know are removing the resonator or buying a new exhaust to make it louder!
