Tell him how you really feel.

+1 I'm not a big fan of rugmonkies either.

Either way, what's the purpose of taking him out on the highway for a ride? If I had a kid I'd only have them in the car if I HAD to deliver them somewhere. Less time in a car=less chance of them being present during an accident.

Just use bungee cords to hold the car seat to the rear strut bar and you'll be good.

Does a Z have "front" seats since there are no "back" seats?

Bah. Leather cleans up easier then cloth though. So thats a plus. lol
I was hoping I would get more people to freak out over this post, but I guess people actually do this. lol
I cant forget my friend that had his 5 yr old strapped up in his 5 pt harness'd caged CRX with racing seats.
I looked at that and said he is gonna get busted big time. He drove him around in it quite a few times like that.

you need to have the passenger side air bag disabled. once you do that then you can have a child seat put in...

but, to get it disabled legally, you have to go trough mounds of paperwork at your dealer (most wont even do it), and report it to you insrance (possbly rates go up) etc etc etc...

then you can use the child seat ancors that are behind the speaker shelf infront of the rear strut bar as mentioned before...

+1 on the disable

Also, i dont have any kids and still wouldn't do that, but if memory serves me correctly, there are different rules on who can ride in the passenger seat of a 2 seat car.

i.e. if you can get the airbag disabled it might be more legal than many here think

I believe the passenger side airbag disables itself due to weight. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I know my mini cooper did that, and I'm pretty sure all 2 seat cars do that as well.

I dont think the Z does. My Pathfinder does, but it shows me with an indication light. The Z does not that I have ever seen.

This absolutely does not look like an April Fool's joke.
