350Z TV Commercials start

Guy at dealership said at the recent conference they announced that the new 350Z TV commercials and marketing campaign for the new Z will begin on Monday, 19 Aug.

Thats in conflict with what I was told post-conference by our attendees -- expect Z commercials to begin at the end of September. That doesn't necessary include other forms of promotions, like the sale of the Vin 0000001 Z car on ebay, magazine ads, etc.

That's exactly what Nissan is doing by having the pre-order program. Get them out on the road and then start the big ad campaign.

The Z is intended to drive traffic to the dealer showrooms and increase the other model sales as well. The ad campaign, in addition to raising awareness of the new Z, will help rebuild Nissan's image as a performance-driven company.

ZISME stated in the past that the ad campaign (print and TV) would begin in Sept. The Aug 19th date you mention may well be the ebay auction and possibly changes to the Nissan web site.
