Default Damaged my Z:(

Last night I came from my mothers home with my wife. When I got home, I have a routine for parking my Z . Mind you that my garage door is old school Manual. When, I was closing it the right side spring snaped and hit the passenger side of my Z. It caused two small dents, and the weather strip by the window needs to be replaced. But, one of the dings has chipped paint. I called Marrone Nissan of Pembroke pines. Anyways, I dropped my plans today and dropped the car off. The estamite came out to $850.00. It should be ready by friday the service guy told me. The car will be painted tommarow. For fixing 2 minor dents with paint it came to $850.00 I'm a bit concerned that body shop matches the paint. Since it is pearl I hope they get it correct. Thank God no one was hurt. The service advisor guaranteed that my Z is going to look like if the dings were never there.

I have no Idea what relevance the above highlighted section has, or what it means for that matter...

My bad I havent slept for 2 days. The cops had nothing to do with this. The main spring from my garage door snapped and damaged the passenger side door.

You have a GTR on order and you start a pointless thread about a $850 ding repair? What exactly is the issue? It seems you've already resolved the problem.

Yeah, I was trying to see what your opinons are about having the paint match being the car has a 3 stage paint. And yes I have a GTR on order and I'm not complaing about the $850.00 cause the insurance is covering it. I just think that the repairs are pretty costly for to door dings.

Okay, fair enough I guess, I just didn't understand the point. Chances are they will blend the paint in, if they are good you will not be able to notice it at all.

No $850 is not out of line. My friend put a tiny scratch on the rear bumber of my Acura with his golf bag and it was $550 to fix. Just make sure you look at it from different angles and in the sunlight before you take the car back. Good Luck!

The garage door was not electric. But now it is. I bought this house recently and it was built in 1973. It's in good shape except for that damm garage door. I really wasnt expecting it to break. As far as making room for my GTR, well that's pretty easy. I'm selling my Z. It's paid in full so thats part of my down payment. I'm pretty lucky though that the spring hit my Z and not my head. My Z is ready for pick up in the morning The body shop manager says that it came out excellent and I will be very pleased. It looks like nothing ever happened to it.
