Congrats man! New Jersey and you really are perfect together now! I grew up in Matawan, so maybe I'll take a cruise out for old times sake.

Did you just trade it into a dealer for cash? If so, how'd it go? If you dont mind my asking, what did you get compared to what you'd get selling it privately?

lol. very nice with the Bob Barker reference. though i was thinking more of lets make a deal! Actually it wwent really easy. I called aropund to some local Acura dealers to find out what they would offer. Davis Acura in PA offered me 19,500 over the phone. I got there, he confirmed and I accepted. My Nissan dealer is doing a dealer trade so I can get the tax credit on the trade in. with the tax credit I got 21,700 which off of a list of about 25 with tax and everything means that the ccar cost me about 3500 for a year. that equates to a mere $300 or so a month which isnt bad for the first years depreciation. Ethan thanks for the link.

So you're doing a trade-in to your Nissan dealership and they will in turn do a trade with the Acura dealership? Sounds kind of complicated. How much did your Nissan dealership offer you for it? I currently have a 4-year old Acura TL that I need to get rid of, so I find this interesting.

They actually didnt even make an offer. they just flat out didnt want it. yes, technically I trade my car into Nissan. They title it and put it on their books. Then turn around or "flip" the title and car to Acura for the same agreed upon price. Neither dealer loses money, and I get the tax credit. It is something my dealer offered to me to help me out. You need to tell both parties, private or dealer that it will be an even dealer trade, though I am assuming not all dealers will do this. I have a great relationship with my dealer since I used to get the whole crew drunk at my old bar every Friday!

Yeah and my father said bartending would never pay off! it is the only reason I was able to get a preorder! I'd say to meet maybe at the shore or a rest stop on the turnpike or something. we will figure it out soon. Sinec the cars are now starting to arrive!!!!!
